BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Our company is a mobile app that allows fans to make real-time predictions about the sport they are watching.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Trio Developers, and what were your goals?

We brought on Trio to serve as a bridge between CTO's of our small team. We brought on two developers with Trio to execute redesign of the app and revamp the backend to support new features around social sharing and groups.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Trio and ultimately chose them because of the leadership team, we felt most comfortable with their hands on approach.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Our app is based in react native and google firebase. The engineers were fully competent in both areas and were able to successfully deliver on all of the requirements we established from the outset.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had two full time engineers, one who worked closer with the front and on who worked closer with the backend.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 5 months the main deliverable was complete and we were successfully able to re-launch our app for the 2021 NFL and NBA seasons. During this time we saw our user base double and retention rates increase.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The team was very flexible in using the project management tools that we felt most comfortable with. Our team elected to use Jira and we never had any issues with this format.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their flexibility to scale up and scale down when needed was great, the leadership team also took a very hands on approach which was greatly appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
