Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of duleepsingh.com, a research facility that promotes Anglo-Punjab culture, history, and heritage.
What challenge were you trying to address with Trigma Solutions?
We wanted maximum exposure for our site so it would be hit up frequently on search engines. Our audience — people in their fifties who don’t use the internet often — also needed a site that was easy to look at and navigate.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’re having the whole website restructured from scratch for the third time. It’s been 5–6 years since the last one, so it’s gotten a bit dated. Once it’s done, it’ll be easier to navigate, the image and video quality will be higher, and the site will be faster.
I told Trigma what we needed, which was a video that we could upload with a YouTube connection. We also wanted to link to our Facebook and Instagram where part of our audience comes through. Lastly, I wanted an admin page where we could edit parts of the website and update news stories ourselves rather than rely on Trigma.
Trigma has done some SEO as well. When we searched the website on search engines, it wasn’t coming up at the top of the list. They did some work on keywords to get us higher.
What is the team composition?
Apart from my main point of contact at Trigma, I’ve worked with 3–4 people over the years.
How did you come to work with Trigma Solutions?
I originally was working with a small, local firm. A friend introduced me to Trigma because he had a website developed by them. Because I already travel to India quite a bit, they were able to take me to their office and show me their work station, their staff, and how they work.
Trigma would be able to provide me a dedicated team to work on the website, which was better than what I had before. Their prices were very competitive as well.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend about £4,000 (approximately $5,000 USD) per annum.
What is the status of this engagement?
The partnership started in 2010 or 2011 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our views and hits go significantly higher when we announce a new event or book launch. Otherwise, we see a steady flow of traffic, comments, and messages. Whenever we redesign the site, people send us lots of messages about how they love the new look. They are often friends and longtime associates, and that tells us that people are finding and viewing us quite successfully.
How did Trigma Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Trigma is always on the ball, and we never have to chase them. Because we’re in the UK and they’re in India, there’s a very small window when we can communicate with them. However, they’re always there and happy to accommodate us, even on weekends and out of hours.
We communicate over email, phone calls, WhatsApp videos, and Zoom. If it’s an emergency, I can go straight to the phone or a WhatsApp video call.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Trigma’s professionalism is what I like about them. If I ever need something done, I can contact them, and it’ll be dealt with in 24 hours. That’s the main reason why I’ve stuck with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The main reason we’re restructuring the site is because of the site’s speed and the lack of quality in our images and videos. The visuals are quite important to our work, but Trigma is moving us to a new platform that should improve it.
Any advice for potential customers?
Have a face-to-face meeting initially so that you can see examples of their work and learn whether they can perform to the level you need them to be. I also found it helpful to see their set-up because I could get a real feel for how they work. That’s important when you’re considering a long-term relationship with a company.

The client wanted to develop an on-demand service application to make livelihood easy and comfortable. The two-way objective of this application was to empower service contractors by providing at-home services seamlessly and provide users with an all-in-one platform to hire service professionals to deliver home improvement work.
Approach
Our key approach was to design a simple, user-friendly app and website so that users of all ages could engage with it. We built a platform that would permit skilled and experienced contractors to connect with users searching for precise services. All the professionals, though experienced, would have to go through in-depth training modules before being allowed to list their services on the platform. A built-in match-making algorithm was set up to identify professionals closest to the user's requirements and who can show their presence at the requested date and time.
Impact
The users were provided with on-time, high-quality services, which increased sales and helped customer retention. The client gained more than 2.5 million downloads for the app and built an extensive network of 30000+ trained service professionals and a great customer base by providing services to over 2 million customers across many metropolitan cities. The growth estimates indicated a significant earnings-per-share growth, with a long-term growth rate of 19%.

To hire someone for the job, I researched top web developers, and among a few names, Trigma Solutions showed up. We also checked the reviews and testimonials of the company and were impressed with the feedback it has received. So, we decided to contact them.

The website was suggested to be made using DotNET by the developer team of Trigma. We had a few pre-decided foundational requirements for the website that we communicated to the team; beyond that, we let them take full autonomy of technical aspects, design, functionality, etc.
The initial meetings with Trigma revolved around the scope, the user experience, options, the sitemap for the website, and additional features that could be potentially added. Then, the development phase started, where the team took on developing wireframes to build mockups for us and working on the database through APIs.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Trigma provided me with a team of 4 experts: a Front-end developer, a Back-end .NET Developer, a UI/UX Designer, and a project manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The website was incredibly functional and stable. I liked how the navigation turned out to be as well. We are satisfied with the end result, thanks to all the regular meetings with the developers and designers.

The project communication and execution were handled quite skillfully by the project manager of the team. Every time there was a new milestone achieved, a change made, or a new feature added to the website, it was communicated in a timely manner.

I’m the sales head at a software company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Trigma?
We had a client who was looking to develop a mobile app in Flutter. We didn’t have any in-house resources for that, so we sought out Trigma.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We outsourced iOS, Android, and web app development to Trigma. It’s a doctor-patient portal, where a user could search for and consult with the nearest medical professionals. Through the app, a user could book a phone, video, in-person appointment. We also had the team develop a feature that allows doctors to inform patients of their availability and prescribe them medication online.
Patients could also purchase the medicine from the app itself by locating the nearest pharmacy. After presenting the prescription, they would then receive the total price and a video call from the pharmacist.
Trigma also developed the portal such that all payments can be made within the app, whether these be payments for the prescription or doctor’s fees.
What is the team composition?
There were about 12 people onboard, including developers, designers, testers, and the marketing team. I was mostly in touch with the project manager and one other person.
How did you come to work with Trigma?

The only aspect that needs improving in our opinion is the design site of things. The Trigma designers we have collaborated with so far are good, but nothing to write home about. Site design is a very subjective matter.

They did have some great reviews on their work done, they have the capability to synchronize some amazing innovative plans, and the highly notable factor was the project manager who supervised the complete app development process.

I was looking out for a high-quality and cost-efficient product that could be delivered in a timely manner. Before choosing Trigma, we did perform a lot of research and researched globally in many countries. Trigma created some of the best, some great vision for the projects along with their team leaders, who were able to create this great app for seamless communication between the doctors and the patients. We are sure to use the services of Trigma while making updates to our app along with building new apps over time, and we do highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in creating the app.

We had a project manager assigned to our project, which laid out the best plan along a clear path with specific specialists and some great milestones that were in charge of the entire step all along the way. They streamlined the process quite well, and the most noted fact of all what the communication that was made through every channel making the project seamless all throughout.

Trigma helped us in building this native app for Sales Executive and the Plant Operation Executive on the platform of both Android and iOS. The app allowed the sales executive to communicate with the plant operation persons either through chat, voice call, or video call. The sales executive can manage their time effectively with the use of this solution, keep the records, and track the delivery status of material.

Things from the end of Trigma were clearly laid out and well-planned as they delivered some great management and communication from their end. I do agree that we are new to the app development industry and really required a lot of assistance along the way, and Trigma did a remarkable job as we were completely happy that there was a project manager who held our hands at all times

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I've since moved to a new position, but I previously worked at a tractor parts supplier. We originally focused on doing business with government organizations.
What challenge were you trying to address with Trigma?
We needed to expand into the private sector in order to achieve our desired income goal. I thought it would be best to bring an external firm in to help us widen our approach.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built our website. They did everything from the frontend design to the backend development. We wanted our website to be fully functional with respect to online shopping. They implemented the proper framework so people can come to the site directly and place their orders. Every now and then, they will update the website according to our needs. They gave us the first solution 10 to 15 years ago. Back then, it only utilized HTML and CSS. Then, they gave us another solution four or five years ago that uses AngularJS. They've encouraged us to keep using this platform. It's a little more expensive, but it gives the site a polished aesthetic. For the backend, they are using Java, and Spring Boot for the framework. For the database, they are using MariaDB.
When we started out, they gave us a presentation of what our website would look like and they asked for input. We gave them input and they implemented that. We provided documentation, but they were ready beforehand. They did a pretty good job there.
What is the team composition?
At first, we worked with the regional manager and his counterpart. Then, four people were assigned to the project. In total, there were six people involved, which was optimal for our medium-sized organization.
How did you come to work with Trigma?
Due to time constraints, I was not able to develop the website myself. However, a colleague who lives in my hometown had worked with Trigma and recommended them to me. We tried them out and they were very hardworking. They checked off all the boxes and we hired them.
How much have you invested in them?
We've spent around $150,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We've worked together since February 2005.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our organization is one of the largest in the northern region of India, so we expect our partners to provide a solution that is out of the box and unique. We've invested a lot with them, but the returns have been very good. Over the past 15 years, our year-over-year turnaround was around $125,000.
Once we started offering online payment, we attracted a lot of customers even from the southern part of the country. We have exported our product to Mumbai which is in the eastern part of the country. Especially considering the COVID-19 situation in India, the e-commerce capabilities of the website have been great in allowing all customers to place orders at their convenience.
Due to our workforce limitations, we don’t hire more than 100 employees in one organization, so our internal capabilities were strictly limited. As such, we needed an external partner who would emphasize quality over quantity. They recognized this need of ours. Even though the price point has been high, we've been able to attract a lot of new customers and expand our business and online presence thanks to them. As our business has grown, this growth has been reflected in the content of the site.
I really like their company’s confidentiality policy as well. Even though I am the owner of the website, I am not allowed to see the code they've written. However, they provide me with any information that I need. For example, a month ago I needed to know how many people were viewing the website. They gave me the average number of people who view the website in a week but didn't show me the code behind this statistic. They provide insight as to how they are developing, but they don’t let us near the code. I think that is a very good company policy because it keeps me happy while still providing them with their confidentiality.
How did Trigma perform from a project management standpoint?
They take all the burden off their customer, and they are always there. During the major development phases of the project, we've had a project manager that would give us daily updates on their progress and goals. Sometimes they took more time, but the product was really impressive. We had to be patient due to the uniqueness of their solution. Once I saw the beta version of our website, I knew that the time we invested did not go down the drain. For the past year, we have been communicating through phone calls or Zoom meetings. Before that, they would provide updates at in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are cooperative, hardworking, and really imaginative. Their team is forthcoming, and they offer a fairly good price.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have an IT background, so I think they should explore other services like AWS Cloud. I am working with AWS Cloud currently, and I think it's a great solution that would enhance their business. I have suggested that to them, and I think they will be implementing it soon. They use Microsoft Azure, which I feel is a little more difficult.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would say just trust them. Give your ideas to them so they can brainstorm. They're a brilliant team, so you should just sit back, relax, and let them do everything.

I’m the CEO of a navigational service company. We supply nautical charts and other charts used by sailors and merchants for their safe navigations. We do some emergency kits and other things for navigation purposes.
What challenge were you trying to address with Trigma?
The marine industry is pretty old. The industry was facing digitalization issues. Everybody started from paper maps and then we moved to the age of computers. There was a strong need for a web application that would allow marinas to quickly search and make waypoints.
Before this, weather, sounds, light points, tides, and everything else were all on paper. They’ve had to log this data for at least the last 20 years, but we needed to convert the logbooks into digital format.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Trigma developed a cloud-based Java application. Based on the hard copies we had, they built that information into the application. There was an option where they could make the changes and add the field.
One of the features built into the app accounts for the flag state of each country. There are different rules and regulations that mariners need to follow depending on the flag state, so it’s important that they have the most up to date information. For example, Canada needed an electronic book for their flag state that followed a specific format.
The important point was to connect the changes that the captain, second officer, or third officer are making, to the main server. If the superintendent or the ship manager goes, they can quickly review it. It allows users to monitor on what’s happening on the ship.
What is the team composition?
There were 8–9 people working on the project in total. Some of them were overlapping. At one time, there were 5–6 on the team.
How did you come to work with Trigma?
We initially met with a couple of companies to get an idea of how we could approach the project and how fast it could be done. I met Trigma’s founder at a webinar and decided they would be the best fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $55,000–$60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2020 and wrapped up the project in June 2020. The maintenance is ongoing.

We used a project management software where they listed all the work they’ve done. We had group sessions with them on a weekly basis. There were ongoing discussions.
They walked us through what they did so we knew what was going on. They were very good with time management. We never had any late deliverables. All milestones were properly met.

They’re consistent. They put a lot into planning the development and it worked out really well. . I was impressed by their attention to detail. For example, and purchased some of the other licenses just to see how they could increase connectivity for users
