Branding & web design for technical B2B companies.
Some companies are hard to explain. Those are our favorites.
Tri Lion Studios is a branding and web design studio in Lawrence, Kansas, working with mid-size B2B companies in technology, science, engineering, and manufacturing. We have been doing this since 2009.
Websites are the core of the work: design and build, in WordPress or Framer. Around that sit brand identity, UX/UI for product teams, and packaging for companies that put a physical product on a shelf. Every project runs with one to three people on it, so the people who scoped the work are the people who do the work, and nothing gets handed off to a junior after the kickoff call.
We do not build e-commerce or enterprise platforms. We are a good fit for companies with a real product, a technical story, and a site that is no longer keeping up with either one.
Website and brand engagements start at $5,000. Smaller single-deliverable scopes are quoted on their own.
Earlier in his career, founder Brian White produced design work for T-Mobile, Microsoft, Oura Ring, GEHA, GEICO, Mayo Clinic, and Arizona State University through agency partners. That work was done agency-side, not as Tri Lion client engagements.
Brian White Design offers competitive pricing, with project costs ranging from $5,000 to $70,000 depending on the complexity and scope. Clients emphasize the high value for cost, noting excellent communication, timely delivery, and satisfying results across various projects.
Clients consistently praise Brian White Design for their creative and high-quality design work, including logos, websites, and branding. They effectively capture the essence and vision of the client's brand across various industries.
Personalized Service
Brian White Design is often commended for offering a personalized service, taking the time to understand each client’s unique needs and providing tailored solutions that resonate with their specific audience.
Potential Overwhelm with Workload
There are mentions of Brian sometimes being stretched thin due to the volume of work, although this has not affected the quality or timeliness of deliverables. This suggests a potential area for resource expansion.
Timely Project Delivery
The firm is often praised for delivering projects on time, even under tight deadlines. Their ability to manage time effectively and deliver as promised is highlighted in multiple reviews.
Effective Communication and Responsiveness
Brian White Design is recognized for their excellent communication skills, maintaining open channels via email, phone, and project management tools. They are also noted for their responsiveness and ability to incorporate feedback efficiently.
Broad Industry Experience
The firm has demonstrated expertise across a wide array of industries, including healthcare, agriculture, technology, and nonprofits. This versatility allows them to cater to diverse client needs effectively.

Phone Interview
A home inspection company hired Brian White Design (formerly TriLion Studios) to design their logo and business cards. The team created several drafts around the information that the client supplied on their questionnaire.
Meeting both the deadline and the budget, Brian White Design (formerly TriLion Studios) delivered a logo and business cards that were aligned with what the client wanted. The team kept the client involved throughout the whole design process to ensure they arrived at a final satisfactory visual.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Structure Home Inspections.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with TriLion Studios?
I turned to TriLion to do our branding and prepare our business cards.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brian (Founder & Creative Director) gave me a questionnaire to gauge what I was looking for. From that and from his past experience, he was able to work out in what direction our branding should go. He created several rough drafts for our logo and went over these with me. Once I approved some of the sketches, he went on to finalize both the logo and my business cards.
What is the team composition?
I work with Brian.
How did you come to work with TriLion Studios?
Brian is actually my neighbor.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent just over $1,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership lasted for the whole month of August 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Brian was able to deliver as expected. The way he implemented the designs was very fresh and matched the modern feel that I was looking for.
How did TriLion Studios perform from a project management standpoint?
They did awesome in this regard. We set a deadline for this project and Brian came through. I was very happy. We typically communicated via calls and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Brian’s artistic ideas were very impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
When Brian designs, he takes many things into consideration beyond just putting pretty colors to paper. He can make something that’s going to be plastered on your business for the next 25 years, so it’s important that you honestly answer the questionnaire at the beginning of your engagement.
