As we needed to build a news platform and we didn’t have our own development team we decided to find a professional that would develop a web platform for us from scratch. Moreover, we had strict demands to the admin panel and integrations with other news services like Google News, Yandex.News, and ukr.net.

We were provided with a detailed consultation and recommendations on how to better implement these features. Regarding technologies, there were used such as PHP, JS, CSS, Bootstrap, WordPress, etc.

The whole project was executed by their development team that delivered an end-to-end solution. The following specialists worked on our project: PHP developer, one frontend developer, UI designer, PM, QA engineer, Dev OS engineer.

Our news platform is popular enough in Ukraine and we are getting more and more visitors.

We are fully satisfied with the communication process between our teams and our needs and requirements were met. The communication process around the project was conducted by their PM utilizing Telegram, Trello, and Google Docs.

We shared our requirements to the TV channel website we’d like to get ( design, features, deadline) and TrendLine rolled out a solution that completely met our expectations. Especially, we’d like to highlight that there was a limited deadline and TrendLine managed to finish the project on time.

The idea of the project presupposed building MVP of our web based booking service that would allow users to bargain with hotels and other related to booking features. There was nothing in the very beginning and Trendline provided us with more than 100 page documentation, design, prototype and MVP as a result.

Now we are testing the MVP and estimating results to understand how to adapt our further strategy.

I think each company should always improve and take into account new trends to be competitive. We are planning to get back to TrendLine to continue this project if our hypothesis testing will be successful.

We have hired TrendLine Global to extend our team to develop a social media app for our customer. It was heavy on visuals and had to process a lot of visuals in high resolution.

What were your goals for this project?

The main task was to find a skilled team with strong experience in development of mobile applications rich in high-quality visuals.

We conducted interviews with several potential vendors, which were previously selected by analyzing their presentations. We made a decision based on a number of criterias. Among them were hourly rates, references from their clients, length of the hiring process, case studies on mobile app development, simplicity of cooperation, company background (number of employees, tech stack...).

TrendLine Global found a team that worked on the project from UI/UX design to release. We required input from UI/UX designers during the whole project. The development took less time than wire framing, designing and creation of moskups. So we involved some team members from time to time.

There was only 1 designer working on the project and there were times when 3 designers, 5 developers and a PM were involved. This has allowed to save budget on those stages when a full team was not needed.

What was the team composition?

Our team includes 5 software developers, a project manager and 3 designers.

Now we have the app, we had in mind. Additionally, we were able to extend our development team asap due to using staff augmentation.

Communication go really easy, because guys speak English fluently. They're not overloaded with projects, so they engage completely in the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We couldn’t imagine working with a team located abroad can be so easy. We’re ready to use it again for new projects.

There are always areas of improvement, otherwise business is not developing. But we’re happy with TrendLine job and highly recommend.

We’ve developed a completely decentralized, reliable and secure project based on blockchain with integrated smart contracts, a large number of additional options and advanced functionality. The platform enables to create currency, conduct STO quickly and conveniently without creating its own blockchain, develop individual smart contracts, conduct decentralized trade and store digital assets.

We’ve got a sustainable blockchain platform, which is so popular among users from all over the world. And we constantly add new features.

We’ve used an agile workflow with two-weeks sprints, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews. It is really effective.

Their strong expertise and wide experience in blockchain technologies are impressive.

The outsourcing model offered by TrendLine Global perfectly fit us for completing the task on a tight budget. It allowed to cut the cost of development in half without losing quality.

The workflow was clear. First of all TrendLine Global forwarded us CVs of previously interviewed candidates. We selected some, conducted interviews with them, signed a contract with TrendLine Global, and started working with their resources remotely. They also assigned an account manager, who coordinated our communication with the developers.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive part was the outsourced engagement model. We paid for the work done while TrendLine handled supporting expenses, training, motivation, and the back office of the developers.

TrendLine Global helped us hire additional software engineers by providing an outstaffing hiring model. Its recruiters analyzed our job requirements and selected the right candidates. We conducted interviews with all of them and chose two good developers. They were officially recruited by TrendLine Global, and worked from its office, using its office equipment.

TrendLine Account manager made our communication easy and regular, and the project manager monitored developers’ productivity. It was an interesting experience, TrendLine developers were fully integrated in our development process and became a part of our friendly team.

Our platform launched on time and was exactly what we needed.

Our workflow was in Jira and Slack. The assigned account and project managers were strong professionals and did their best to meet our expectations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We really like outstaffing model and consider it like a “rental." Developers are fully at our disposal for a “rental period." We pay just “rent” (salaries and management fee), and all maintenance expenses (insurance, workspace, office equipment) are on TrendLine side. It’s really efficient for projects of a certain duration.

The app had to provide search results from numerous accredited publications, journals and databases instead of simply pulling something from the web.

We tried different models: in-house HR management, recruitment agencies. And finally decided that outstaffing companies are the best solution while hiring for projects with specific duration. We found online several vendors from Ukraine and Belarus, studied them carefully and selected TrendLine Global after the voice session.

We applied TrendLine Global for hiring new remote IT specialists, told about our requirements, shared the project details. And TrendLine selected suitable candidates. Then our team conducted interviews with those, who were best qualified for the job. TrendLine Global has found a perfect PM, who has been managing the project on our side. We started the e-commerce building with 1 developer and added 2 more when the need arose. Then we added a UX/UI designer. By the time search engine optimization was taken care 2 developers were no longer needed so they moved off and SEO expert was located. Now we’re working with TrendLine Global on support.

As a result we’ve got sales increasing due to the well-performing e-commerce store.

From the very beginning we’ve chosen ways of communication with our team. There were 15 min Hangouts stand ups every morning, project management via Trello, regular Slack discussions. Sometimes it even seemed guys were here in our South Africa office.

We talked via Slack. They communicate well. We appreciate that they provided us with the account manager who helped to avoid miscommunication if happened. We also had a weekly call to update the progress of our project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their engineers didn’t require too much guidance and could manage their job almost independently. We truly appreciate that employees can work with approved backlog autonomously. And we were really surprised that it is possible with remote staff.
