BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work as the SEO strategist in partnership with a full-service digital marketing agency. They serve a wide variety of businesses especially within cyber security, SaaS & companies needing local SEO.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Trebletree, and what were your goals?

We needed help from a nimble, responsive digital marketing team with deep expertise in local SEO, specifically the retail flooring industry. We simply don't have the internal bandwidth to do everything that's required, so we needed a partner we could fully trust & integrate within our own team.

We needed them to do everything required for this client, with us just serving as a liaison through project management, for a collective comprised of hundreds of stores. We needed not just organic search improvement but help with anything SEO-related that is requested by the client. While providing ongoing SEO strategy, they were especially helpful during a couple huge migrations/redesigns we did on behalf of our flooring client (and all their partner stores).

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They had proven themselves in the past with deep flooring knowledge along with extensive local SEO expertise, through referral from our agency's leadership.

We communicated on a weekly basis to make progress on strategy & deliverables, especially involving during the migrations/redesigns. We needed to be comprehensive about all possible technical, on-page & off-page SEO issues due to migrating our CMS. The team delivered in spades, with the sites poised for dramatic growth via a new e-commerce and location features optimized for SEO.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked mostly with a single contact (Lauren), but their agency has a skilled team of SEO specialists giving input on & assisting with all work. Lauren was knowledgeable about this work, without the disconnect that can occur with other agencies.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They helped us create numerous SEO tickets with the web development agency that helped create the migrations/redesigns. They also recommended broad strategy & specific page updates, all backed by extensive SEO research involving keywords. Finally, all progress was clear through their proper design of reporting via workspaces in Conductor.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Many agencies only communicate with you as needed, being reactive & not proactive, while managing countless other clients. This is not the case with Trebletree. You get a responsive team that always back their recommendations with data. They communicated primarily via email, which we preferred as well, though they are willing to hop on a call anytime.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

No stone is unturned. When they offer SEO recommendations, extensive data and research have been put behind those decisions for you to see. You can also completely trust them to find any present SEO issue and bring it to your attention.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are an excellent partner that we will continue to leverage indefinitely... no areas for improvement.
