I work in business development for AGORA—a media organization that publishes one of the leading news websites in Moldova.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with TouchSize?

We launched the website in 2014 but weren’t satisfied with the design; it didn’t correspond to the time or address the challenges we were facing. We needed a partner to create a mobile-first platform that would also look good on desktops. Our team wanted to achieve the best possible version of our platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we didn’t specify our expectations. Although we knew what we wanted, we didn’t know how to describe our vision in specific terms. First, their team helped us elaborate, teaching us how to write technical design requirements. Then, TouchSize delivered designs and CSS code to rebuild our website. To integrate the designs into the new platform, they provided consulting services to our inhouse team. TouchSize also supported our IT department whenever technical assistance was needed.

What is the team composition?

We worked primarily with a designer and were in frequent contact with Stefan (CEO, TouchSize). Our team received personal assistance from top management, which was important to us.

How did you come to work with TouchSize?

We found them online and colleagues recommended their team. We found TouchSize to be a suitable partner and asked them to provide a draft of their ideas, which they delivered within a week. We liked their vision for the project and decided to collaborate with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with TouchSize on the website between April–June 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were happy with the final product as well as the speed of their work. Over the past four years, we’ve used their design. The platform’s mobile-first and responds to the needs of customers.

Our team also appreciated TouchSize’s efforts after they’d delivered the website. This wasn’t just a project that they designed, delivered, and forgot. Their team’s support was valuable, which led us to work with them as a consultant the following year.

How did TouchSize perform from a project management standpoint?

We began our collaboration by completing their questionnaire and sending our requirements to TouchSize. They presented the first draft of the platform in 3–4 weeks. We provided feedback, explaining what we liked and what needed improvement. In the following three weeks, we received an updated version.

The project ran smoothly. Their team delivered work on time and completed the final product within a couple of months. Ultimately, we were happy with the results.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As content producers, we interact with a lot of people. Stefan’s involvement in the project was valuable. He’s a designer, so our team appreciated his touch. Their leadership was involved in each project—even those that aren’t related to their biggest clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Again, we were happy with the results. However, they could’ve offered us three design options instead of two.
