Tiksom inherited an app that was in the early stages of development and was poorly documented and only informally specified for the development that we were seeking to get their help to deliver. The team worked with us very collaboratively to get the app ready for beta desting and production. We had regular weekly meetings, and also benefited from the Tiksom team's attention as situations arose.

Key functionality for a minimum viable product was all developed in good time. App stability significantly improved, leading to a successful launch with minimal post-launch issues.

Our main contact is Fahad, the Tiksom CTO, and he has been extremely focused on quality and customer service. I think he is technically Toksom's account manager but he has often seemed to be our company's project manager, a real team player. Tiksom has always been exceptionally responsive to our needs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Tiksom does there work in a location remote from us and in a different timezone, but they have been very strong on communication, availability and responsiveness, including times when our own client relationships were at stake.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tiksom Limited could have done differently?

I think it's possible that we'll need a distributed support network and more transparency on coverage assignments, but we are not yet at that point, and I have no reason to believe Tiksom won't meet this challenge.

I'm the owner of the website where sell my own courses to learn the Italian language.

For what projects/services did your company hire Tiksom Limited, and what were your goals?

I asked them to carry on the development of my mobile app. I wanted to publish it before the end of November.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected them on Upwork after looking at their profile and having a call.

It's a mobile app in Flutter. I submitted all the assets from Github. They had to make it work, add the missing features, and publish it.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project manager Muhammad Junaid Butt has never been transparent with time tracking. I don't even know who worked on the app. I heard that two developers were on it, but only know about one.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After 1 month and 3500US$ - much more than expected - the app is not ready yet and some feautures are still missing. Since I filed a dispute on Upwork, they won't even deliver the assets. They're keeping them hostage.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

After repeatedly asking to track time, they set up a Traqq account, but in an opaque way. They hid the user with the most logged hours from me and when I protested and was able to check I saw that their activity level was only 33% with many hours of total idleness. I should have checked and filed a dispute earlier.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing good.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They should be transparent with logged time because it's a hourly contract.
