We're a global software company headquartered in the US and focused on the US iGaming and sports betting market. Founded in 2016, Chalkline's SaaS platform helps casinos and affiliates acquire and retain customers through free-to-play prediction games and personalized / localized engagement.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

As Chalkline grew, we identified gaps in our development team and started interviewing development partners. We were introduced to TEYMAX with a strong recommendation, interviewed the team, engaged, and have never looked back.

We have scaled up and scaled down our TEYMAX scope as our company has grown.

Technologies used:

• It’s a React application.
• Our code is written in TypeScript
• Webpack for code minification, code splitting etc
• ESLint and Stylelint for making sure code and styles follow our rules and is formatted correctly
• Redux for some state management
• Axios, React Query and GraphQL for api calls
• Storybook/Chromatic for catching UI progression/regressions
• Cypress for E2E testing
• Jest for unit tests
• Pipelines in Bitbucket for CI
• We also have build and deployment pipelines in Azure
• The bulk of the FE code and assets are deployed behind a tag/version to Cloudfront to help with performance

Website (platform) was developed using pure react and we needed to migrate to NextJS to utilise server-side rendering and improve SEO. In the process new designs were implemented improving the user experience

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Delivery of the new platform which was built with a lot of amount of pair-programming to enable technical knowledge sharing.

Amazing project management and collaboration. We agreed on daily standups, we had a slack group and using google meets a lot for online meetings. The developer assigned to the project Eugene, was incredible, highly knowledgeable with great communication skills and understanding of scope

They had the highest quality of software development principles, understanding the scope of work and balancing value with time taken to deliver it. Eagerness to share knowledge and make sure after delivery of work, platform is scalable

Interviewed multiple companies across multiple contractor hiring platforms including Upwork.

We had a kick-off meeting and working documents to outline various milestones throughout the project.

The project manager was my main point of contact but also occasionally met with the developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Overall the app was delivered successfully and Teymax has been very communicative throughout iterative improvements.

We used kanban to track progress and bi-weekly demos.

The communication was great, and they were very helpful throughout the entire process.

I would like to see more QA in the future.
