What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality that impressed me most was their ability to understand organizational challenges rather than focusing solely on technology. Many software companies immediately begin discussing platforms, frameworks, or features. Tensor Labs began by asking questions about people, workflows, and objectives. That difference shaped the entire engagement. Their AI expertise was clearly strong, but they applied it thoughtfully. 
Every recommendation had a practical purpose and was connected to improving the experience for our members or reducing operational complexity. I also appreciated their willingness to challenge our assumptions. Several of the most valuable improvements came from conversations where they encouraged us to rethink how certain processes should work instead of simply automating existing methods. 
Another strength was their communication. Technical concepts were explained clearly, which made it much easier for non-technical stakeholders to participate confidently in important project decisions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tensor Labs could have done differently?

Overall, we had an excellent experience. If I were to suggest one area for improvement, it would be offering additional structured training sessions immediately following deployment for organizations with diverse user groups. While the platform was intuitive and the documentation was comprehensive, a few extra live workshops could help accelerate adoption among members who are less familiar with new technology. 
That said, the Tensor Labs team remained highly responsive after launch and provided timely support whenever questions arose. This was a relatively minor suggestion within what was otherwise an outstanding engagement.

Tensor Labs provided end-to-end support covering both AI development and web development. The engagement began with several discovery and strategy sessions where their team worked closely with us to understand the nuances of long-term care planning, healthcare costs, caregiving dynamics, and the financial challenges families face when preparing for aging-related expenses. 
On the AI side, they helped us architect and implement predictive models that could analyze multiple data points and generate personalized planning insights. They collaborated closely with our leadership team to ensure the outputs were not only technically sound but also meaningful for users making important life and financial decisions. 
On the web development side, Tensor Labs built and refined core platform functionality, developed user-facing workflows, improved data presentation layers, and created interfaces that translated sophisticated analytics into understandable recommendations. Key deliverables included:

We successfully launched and refined key components of our platform that allowed us to demonstrate our value proposition to prospective customers, partners, and investors. The platform became significantly more stable and capable of handling larger volumes of user interactions and data processing than our earlier versions.

Deliverables were consistently organized and communicated clearly. We always understood what was being worked on, what had been completed, and what priorities were coming next. 
The team maintained regular meetings, provided progress updates, and was proactive about identifying potential challenges before they became larger issues. When our priorities shifted, which often happens in an early-stage startup environment, they adapted quickly and worked collaboratively to adjust timelines and development plans.

I was impressed by their versatility. They were equally comfortable discussing machine learning architecture, user experience improvements, business priorities, and product strategy. Having that combination within one team created a highly efficient working relationship.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tensor Labs could have done differently?

If I were to suggest one area for improvement, it would be expanding documentation and knowledge transfer materials earlier in the project lifecycle. As products evolve quickly in startup environments, having even more detailed technical documentation available from the beginning could make future onboarding and internal handoffs easier.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Tensor Labs was contracted for custom app development (iOS specific) and a simple administrative management system. The scope of the team's work included the development of both front and backend of the application and the management system, excluding UI/UX design which was done in-house. The delivarables have been completed in sprints. UP to current date, we have received near completion of the managment portal (with minor UI/UX fixes) and the first phase of the app development (sign-up/log-in screens, shopping pages, and other basic functionalities). 
The team was first contracted to build out our initial idea - a chrome extension - and later extended to continue with the app development as not only does Ahmed and his team work incredibly diligently at their objectives but are wonderful partners for start-ups.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Tensor Labs team is very proactive when working with us. In the initial phase of their engagement, they will provide a detail proposal outlining the expected time required to complete the project, breaking each phase into a sub-section of estimates with hours and cost. Specific to our project, given the greater length of time required, Tensor Labs proposed deliverable in sprints, which they have clearly outlined in their proposals. 
For example, the initial sprint included research regarding how they plan on tackling the project. Second phase included building the infrastructure of our adminsitrative management portal followed by client portals. Ahmed and his team are responsive and active in setting up weekly meetings to keep clients up to date. Throughout the week, despite time differences, the team is still very reachable whenever issues or questions arise.

The deliveries are usually very on time, and if unexpected delays occur, the team is very active in communicating. Working with the team is very easy as each member are tasked with one focus and works diligently to address their task and any client issues. Concerns and requests are never lost in the mix, with each team member always up to date.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What we found most impressive about the company is the quality of their work and their willingness to be a partner. Granted, this may be subjected to client needs. But as new founders, we are looking for guidance when needed and are always open to new ideas. Tensor Labs team is not afraid to be proactive and vocal about what they think works best given their experience, but is also always open to new solutions. The team will work with their clients to reach a solution that Tensor Labs believes to be realistic in implementation but also suitable to the needs of the client. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tensor Labs could have done differently?

We started out with Tensor Labs in its earlier days. As such, they were lacking personnel in certain roles that may have been helpful during our initial engagement. However, as we have continued to work with the team, Ahmed embraces change and feedback. We have seen the team improve in its organization, team-management, and quality control.
