I’m the communications director of a non-profit organization that supports youth mental health and youth homelessness.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Tennis?

We needed to update our website, so we hired Tennis to fix a few functional and visual items.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tennis has worked on two projects for us and is now on a retainer project. The team has created an interactive map and updated key programs and their functionality throughout the website. They’ve also fixed poor work from a previous developer and ensured a cleaner backend. 

For the interactive map, it wasn’t connected to the programs we support, and it took many steps to connect it. Tennis changed all the coding and created a map that allowed users to better view where we support and the program details. 

Additionally, the team has done quality assessments, training, and built a map SVG. They’ve also created a homepage pop-up for specific content, specifically videos. 

For the quality assessment and training, Tennis has created walkthrough videos that visually show how to use the website independently once the project is handed over. The team has also provided virtual training and Q&A. The QA is for post-launch support and warranty, KPIs, bugs, and staging environment setup. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with four teammates from Tennis. 

How did you come to work with Tennis?

We worked with a graphic design company that connected us to Tennis when we were looking to update our website. The team was highly recommended. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Tennis in November 2024, and the first project was completed in early 2025. We engaged in another project, and now we have a third ongoing project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When viewing the final project, we’ve seen usability from people and positive comments from the audience. The website looks great, and people love the features. 

How did Tennis perform from a project management standpoint?

Tennis’ project management is great. The team is fast to respond and thorough. They’re respectful and patient, understanding that we don’t have a developer or coding background. We receive status updates and visual tangible updates along the way. For example, they’ve set up a test environment in staged mode for us to ensure it works exactly as needed.  We primarily communicated through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d like to give a shout-out to their developer, who genuinely cares about a quality project. Tennis’ communication and collaboration process is thorough and clear. The team provides a lot of support and ensures we’re happy prior to passing off the final product. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Tennis on multiple projects, and their team has consistently been supportive, thorough, and attentive to our needs. The developer (Nicolas) we worked with is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient, always taking the time to walk us through the process clearly

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Tennis provided more visual support in suggesting improvements.  

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be patient and understanding that things may take time.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Built our website with a home page, menu, events calendar and the capabilitty for our community to suggest events. Events can also be added to google calender. Website was built in webflow, is very aesthetically pleasing, fits with our brand and easy to keep up to date. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website works well and whenever I have questions or need anything Symon responds very promptly.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Meeting and updates were regular and my feedback was continuously taken into account. The project was finished on time.

Their willingness to work with the clients, personabillity and expertise. Especially in starting a new business Symon was also able to be a wonderful mentor and support.
