I am the co-founder of Lela Beauty LLC, an app that provides on demand beauty services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Tech Exactly?

We originally hired Tech Exactly to build our mobile app, however, due to their integrity and great work, we decided to also hire them to build a custom website for Lela Beauty after we had a terrible experience with another company we had already paid in full. Tech Exactly took on the new task and completed the task in just weeks.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal for this project was to take a minimum of a year, however, their proposal was for less than that which was impressive.

How did you select this vendor?

I interviewed with multiple companies, however, what attracted me the most about Tech Exactly was the customer service. For a new company, it was important for me to be able to feel nurtured and I felt that Tech Exactly gave me the guidance and support I was looking for. Bigger companies focus more in mass production and it makes it difficult for smaller companies to walk with a team directly.

Describe the project in detail.

Tech Exactly built us an app available on apple and google store. The app allows users to read blogs, select services, select location they would like the service to be completed at, the time, pick their hairstylist, pay for the services and manage all of their bookings.

The project required Tech Exactly to build not only the app, but also a dashboard for us to manage the backend of our app. They also were responsible for all integrations. Tech Exactly also created our custom website, despite the fact that we provided a full vision, they constantly offered us alternative and recommendations to better our website and app.

They also implemented the website backend to our dashboard so we can manage all of our backend operations. The project always ran smooth because despite of bugs and fixes we found along the way ( which is completely normal), they were extremely quick at responded and extremely diligent at fixing everything immediately.

We worked with Priyanka who was our project manager and middle man between us and the developers and rest of team members. I believe the company has great organisation within their tee mates which allows projects to run more smooth and quicker.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are ready to launch our app February 1st, 2020 and we just launched our website which we have already received a lot of feedback. All this was completed in less thank a year, in only 7 months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Extremely effective, responses were within 24 hours. As well as any fixes to bugs or changes to the app last minute were handled immediately. The organisation within their team is great, the fact that they assigned a project manager to manage the project and to be our point of contact is great.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive about the company is how they manage to work with the time difference. During this 7 months, I have not felt I am working with a company in India with a huge time difference because everything has been so smooth and professional. I would definitely continue to work with Tech Exactly as our business grows and we need tomato adjustments.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Early on I told them that an area of improvement was that the meetings could be more structure to make sure we use our time efficiently. And Tech Exactly automatically started to structure the meetings and to send us agendas before the meetings.

We needed help with mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Exactly has designed and developed our app from scratch. Initially, we discussed my idea for 20 minutes, and they repeated it back to me. Within 4–5 days, they provided a mini breakdown of what I wanted to do. The team has built a mock-up and gone over everything with me before moving forward.

Tech Exactly has laid out the different phases of the project and spent multiple hours on Zoom explaining everything. The team has provided 50–60 pages of documentation describing every movement on the app. The app is for iOS and Android, and we’re planning to migrate it to our website eventually.

One of the app’s main features is that homeowners can post a job on a map, and contractors can see it on the map or a list view. The app allows contractors to be notified anytime a job is posted, and they can respond to the homeowner. The homeowner can then go back to their original post and turn it off so the contractors can’t see it anymore.

I looked up a lot of software companies in the Bay Area, and I had a hard time finding anyone. I did a top 10 search and found Tech Exactly really high on the list. I called them, and they were really cool. I explained my idea to them, and they understood it. I didn’t bother looking anywhere else after I talked to them.

We’ve spent close to $18,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2026, and our relationship is ongoing. Moving forward, they'll help me with maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been testing the app, and there are no bugs. We’ve had to make a few changes, and we talk about them every week. Tech Exactly has been smooth, and everything is perfectly explained. The team has met my expectations and gone above and beyond.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Tech Exactly has stayed on budget. Our goal was to hit the deadlines in four stages, and the team has finished early. We communicate via Zoom and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tech Exactly understands me. I’m not a person who speaks in technical terms, but the team listens and does everything to my vision. They’re good listeners and have built an amazing app that looks professional and is very smooth.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Exactly has designed and developed our mobile app from scratch. Initially, we had discovery calls so they could understand what the product entailed and what I wanted. After that, they provided a scope of work for me to go through and ensure everything was according to our conversations. The scope of work went into detail about the product, the outcome, and the UI design. Once we agreed on the scope of work, we signed a contract.

Tech Exactly has done everything from start to finish regarding development and design. The team has used Figma for the design, React Native for the frontend, and PHP for the backend.

The app has two apps: a business app and a customer app. The main feature is the ability to scan the customer's QR code. The business app scans the customer's QR code, and the business can add the stamp or points. The customer can then see their stamps and loyalty points in real time.

The secondary feature is the ability to send marketing posts to the customers. The business owner can send videos, pictures, promotions, and offers to all their customers on the loyalty program. The customer will receive a notification on their phone and see the communication from the business owner.

Currently, Tech Exactly is working on an additional feature for the customer app. The QR code can be saved to the customer's Apple or Google wallet.

I mainly communicate with Venkatesh. I also interact with Kamalika, whom I contact if I have any concerns or queries.

How did you come to work with Tech Exactly?

Tech Exactly came up on Google, and I checked their reviews, which were good. I went with them. Through the initial calls we had with them, they came across as professional and organized.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £12,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2025, and our engagement is ongoing, although the main part of the project has been completed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We currently have nine businesses using the app, and the customer app has around 3,000 downloads. The app is live and in working order. Overall, Tech Exactly has met our expectations.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Tech Exactly has stayed on budget and met deadlines. We use Jira to track their progress and see what tasks they're working on. We communicate through periodic Google Meet meetings and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm mainly impressed with Kamalika's customer relations. She's an asset to the company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Tech Exactly could have a more consultative approach in terms of improvement from their side. They're very good at extracting what I want. However, someone new to the tech industry might benefit from a more consultative approach. They could tell me the pros and cons of certain things and make me think harder about certain decisions. They could push back on certain things and provide a different perspective. This would add value in terms of growth for them in the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be crystal clear with your expectations. You should also have certain things in place to reach deadlines. For example, you should set up the accounts for Apple and Google correctly so there's no delay in any deadlines. Again, it depends on the project, but if you're doing this for the first time, those are the things you need to know earlier on.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Tech Exactly is developing an iOS and Android mobile app for us. Their primary work has revolved around developing the framework of a workout tracker app, integrating an algorithm-based progression display viewer.

Initially, we had a meeting with Tech Exactly, during which I outlined what I wanted. I provided them with an in-depth, detailed description of all the aspects I wanted the app to include. Tech Exactly spent that first call listening and asking questions where necessary.

Then, we had a second call with them, where they showed me what they could do and what they wanted to do based on my brief. After that, we had a third meeting, where we combined the insights of the two previous calls and made an agreement to move forward with the project.

I've interacted with at least 5–6 teammates from Tech Exactly. I don't know how many more team members are involved, but I know that they're quite a big company.

Tech Exactly was originally one of the 10 different companies I approached based on an online search. The main thing that made me choose them over their competitors was the range of work they had done. Although they hadn't done a lot of work with companies in my particular industry, they had done a lot of work in different industries, focusing on mobile app development. Moreover, their cost-effectiveness was a factor in choosing them.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around August 2023, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
My business itself is in its infancy, so we haven't noticed a significant impact on it due to this engagement. Still, the business is heavily reliant on this particular app. Nevertheless, everything has been very good so far. Tech Exactly has met and surpassed our expectations.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?
Tech Exactly is open to suggestions and always available to chat. There's a time difference between us, but it hasn't affected the development process or any day-to-day communication, which is good. The team has also delivered on budget.

Regarding the timeline, we ran a little bit late one time, but the delay was caused by a miscommunication issue. We've also experienced the ongoing, normal issues related to the development process.

What did you find most impressive about them?
The thing I like the most about Tech Exactly's services is their ability to take information and create something that originally was only in my head. They've been able to develop components for the app without a blueprint; they're very skilled in that regard.

Are there any areas they could improve?
There's nothing Tech Exacly could improve on.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Make sure you have a very detailed brief because it'll help the development team have a better understanding of what you want. The aspects that have taken the longest to develop have been the aspects for which I haven't provided a detailed explanation. This has caused us to go back and forth a few times to get things right.

What Tech Exactly has created is excellent. The site is extremely user-friendly. From start to finish, the team has been friendly and involved; they come up with great and innovative ideas. The best part of working with them isn’t only their communication and constant involvement but also their independence in terms of coming up with ideas, flows, and processes. 

Overall, they’ve been truly innovative. Since I don’t come from a tech background, I find this to be truly helpful. They’ve given me a lot of suggestions and ideas along the way. 

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

They use a couple of communication platforms to share information with me. We have a Slack channel; they use Basecamp, which is a little more user-friendly in terms of sharing documents. Most of our communication takes place through one of these two platforms and weekly meetings.

From a business perspective, financials are important. Tech Exactly is cheaper than some of their rivals. Apart from that, their web developers are impressive. They have a wide range of products they’ve developed for other companies. Their resources pull their experience and knowledge of those business models and markets, and they then combine all ideas together to know what works best and what doesn’t.

No, there aren’t any. Their communication is great, and their price is good.
