The digital banking project, which spanned a year and engaged a dedicated team of 20 to 30 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs), has yielded remarkable results and impacts. It was executed seamlessly, delivering the product within the allocated budget and timeframe, and successfully bringing it to the North American (NA) market. Here are the key outcomes:

I am a manager at a game development company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Synodus, and what were your goals?

We hired Synodus for a comprehensive Metaverse gaming solution. Synodus assisted us with metaverse consulting, metaverse nft marketplace engineering, crypto infrastructure development and integration.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for potential Vietnamese vendors through Clutch and then contacted some of them before finally making a decision to choose Synodus as our technological partner. There are several deciding factors:

• First, Synodus is a Vietnam-based company, so we do not need to worry about timezone contrast. We can easily contact, set up meetings with them without any delay or inconvenience.
• Second, after we contact Synodus, they send us their portfolio in which include every customer they already served. We were really impressed with how they had grown in just 2 years and how many customers' projects they successfully served. This made Synodus more reliable in our eyes.
• Third, it is because of their own blockchain department team. They got their own blockchain team since very early days. They got more than 50 blockchain developers, and they were ready to tackle any technical problems with a wide range of tech stacks.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

As any usual parnership, we already had a very first meeting to discuss about goals and objectives. We also shared with Synodus' development team about our 3 critical challenges: Performance, Security and Management.

• First, regarding Performance: We would love to optimize the process of solving data while there was undoubtedly a huge amount of data submitted on Gacha Events.
• Second, it is all about security. We would very love to ensure all GachaBoxes on opening, getting the same data as initially setup with correct permissions from Box owners.
• Lastly, management things: We need to find the way to manage all the centralized activity related to token in-game.

Synodus, after that, delivered 3 technical solutions to: 

• Build our own solution to handle submission data in batch and failback solution to retry and alert
• Verify the transactions via users’ signatures on smart contracts to make sure no unpermitted access to user boxes. We also require smart contract to verify the hash of data after unboxing with the original hash stored in the Box
• Token deposit/withdrawal is managed via Smart contract system, with level of approval on amount of withdrawal. Some will require external approvals from Project Owner.

Every activity in-game related to the token, will be logged as a Virtual Transaction. Withdrawal request will be validated against the transaction to make sure it does not accept any invalid amount.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

It depended based on each stage of the project. Synodus' development team were really helpful and supportive. They always communicated efficiently with us to acknowledge how many problems we need to solve, and estimate the HR really well to make sure that there were enough blockchain developers joining the project. Normally, Synodus' team often include: A Product Owner, A Business Analyst, A Technical Manager and Blockchain Developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We successfully launched the metaverse gaming called Cyperium, and this metaverse has already been highly regarded. Those aforementioned problems we listed were solved well and effectively by the team of Synodus.

We were really impressed by how supportive and helpful they were. As we mentioned, they estimated well human resources, and got very effective communication style, ensuring both sides understand the common goals and objectives.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Synodus is definitely a young tech company, but they are really ambitious and always striving for growth. We really believe that in several years, they will become a strategic technological partner for sure!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launched, we had some bugs on the site. But after we let them know, they already solved them all.

I am a Demand & Operation Planning Manager and my company is an ecommerce business providing camping and outdoor equipment. We operate mainly through sales from website and online platforms.

For what projects/services did your company hire Synodus?

We had a lot of data from different sources, and it was difficult to monitor the business reports and make sound decisions. To describe, we had 3 issues that Synodus worked on:

• Although the data was already centralized and stored in different .csv files on AWS3, the format was not optimized nor friendly. Querying took a long time, which affected the loading speed. (40sec)
• We also didn't know how to optimize the report. It took 30 sec to load a page on average. And we only had sales & marketing-related reports. Our company structure was complicated, so it was a problem to distribute the report system.
• Because our main products are outdoor/camping gear, it required a very large area for storage and the cost was huge. That why we wanted Synodus to work on a solution to optimize cost. "

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We did a research and shortlisted to 3 vendors in Vietnam. Synodus was standing out for their proposal.

• Build data warehouse: They built a data warehouse on SQL database. All the data would be updated every 10 minutes.
• Reports: They optimized the data model, DAX and charts in the existing BI reports. The data analyst built a reporting system in Power BI that cover all business areas: sales & marketing, finance, and customer support
• Optimize storage costs: They created a model to forecast sales and revenue periodically. We can estimate the number of goods imported in a period of time. One plus thing is that they consulted us to use RLS, which ensured that staff can only access data based on their assigned permissions by each department.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

They set up a team of a Data Engineer & a Data Analyst working on our project. We mainly discuss through a Project Manager. She was professional and proposed a great plan.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The loading speed of reports is reduced from 40 seconds to 3 seconds. The reports were well-designed data visualization and user-friendly. The new data model for sales forecasting helped to reduce the cost of warehousing by 23%. The calculation formula also optimized the gap between courier shipping costs and shipping fees. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were quick to respond and worked in an agile team, so we got report from them every week/month. We did come up with some other suggestions along the way and we always impressed us with their adaptation and professionalism.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Above and beyond. They answered all the issues in our checkboxes and even consulted us on a more effective organizational structure.
