Please describe your company and your position there.

My position is Managing Director. TGL Ukraine Ltd offers inland and outland transportation services. More specifically, our field of expertise includes road and maritime container transportation, as well as air and multimodal transportation in any direction.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Sweet Stack Digital, and what were your goals?

We hired Sweet Stack Digital to redesign our main website. But as we moved forward we decided to handle several more consecutive projects together, including additional websites for our departments, and digitalisation and optimisation of our internal workflow.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Initially Sweet Stack Digital were recommended to me by a good friend of mine. But the final deciding factors for choosing Sweet Stack Digital were their huge experience in IT industry, impressive portfolio and their flawless reputation for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. In addition, their team was very responsive and efficient throughout the evaluation phase — so that gave me some extra confidence that they would be a reliable partner to work with.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The initial key job was to design and develop our company's new website, which should look modern and user-friendly. In addition to that we also asked Sweet Stack Digital to help us with the logo redesign and brand identity. During the next phase we decided to digitalise and automate our internal logistics routine. Later we also requested a help with 3d visualisation and additional website for our train terminal. Really not sure what exact technologies were used under the hood, but the results were outstanding.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Dmitri (CEO) and Serhiy (CTO) were my key points of contact. The main dev team consisted of 7 people:

7. Copywriter

Some of those worked with us full time and some joined on an hourly basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new website, logo and brand identity received a very positive feedback from our stakeholders and partners; and it drastically increased an overall brand recognition. The logistics automation system helped us to reduce our costs and minimise the manual human errors in our operations. Overall, we were very satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism demonstrated by Sweet Stack Digital. The guys were able to deliver high-quality solutions that met our business goals and exceeded our expectations.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

In 2 words: super agile! Sweet Stack tweaked the workflow to perfectly fit to our schedule. Huge flexibility with everything: from requirements and design approvals to milestone demos and regular feedback Regarding the tools: for task tracking they used Jira and Trello; for communication it was Google Calendar and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Firstly, they provided a complex solution and covered all the aspects of the project: from branding and copywriting to UI / UX and automated testing. Secondly, due to a critical thinking they identified several major issues in our initial requirements. And last but not least, they're always willing to go the extra mile to help a client.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, I can’t think of anything. This was our first time going into such complicated project, and Sweet Stack Digital have set the bar very high.
