They first provided a thorough proposal and time estimate. We started with a kickoff meeting, they thoroughly assessed the market, competitors, and our goals for the project. We continued with iterative sprints on the design and brand aesthetic. It was helpful to have a general guideline for where we wanted the site to go and end up, but they were always helpful in providing suggestions on design and aesthetics.

2-3 but Liz was my primary point of contact the lead designer and project manager for the effort. I had occasional check-ins with the SuperCo lead team management as needed.

Our website was built on a magento platform and with the growth of e-commerce opportunity over lockdown there was exponential growth that the platform was not able to support. As we were growing we decided it was beneficial to move over to Shopify in order to support all desired avenues of the company. We therefore needed a site that was customised to all our individual needs, but also one that was easy to navigate as not everyone in the team had prior digital experience.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched online for different development agencies and shortlisted 3. The deciding factor was that I had worked with Superco previously on a different project and knew they could deliver on the brief that we set out.

We had an initial kick-off meeting to determine what the scope of work for the project was. From there we moved onto designing and building the wireframes for the site. Once this was done the development begun from Superco. Throughout the project the communication has been great, and the team are very receptive to our suggestion, and not afraid to push back in order to strive for the best site performance.
They work very quickly and effectively to deliver the first phase of the project despite some complications and delays from our side. They've advised on tools we should use such as Recharge and various other apps to achieve our goals. We are now cracking on with phase 2 and 3 to come and are excited to continue working together.

We worked with quite a lot of the team and everyone has been very professional and highly skilled. We worked with the operations managers and have also been appointed a project manager to make sure we have a continuous strategy going forward. There have also been 2 or 3 main developers we've had access to depending on the task.

At this point in time we are unable to offer any measurable outcomes as we have not launched the site yet - however I think they will improve significantly.

We used several excel spreadsheets to map our timeline and tasks. As for communication, we are using slack to ensure agility between the parties. The team is very easy to communicate with and always respond in a timely fashion to our requests.

Unlike many larger agencies, Superco are very agile with their ways of working. As a young team, they are able to recommend great and fun strategies, and the whole process has felt very collaborative. I think the speed at which they work is also fantastic and despite some hiccups along the way they have been nothing but professional and have a very hand on approach - a joy to work with.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think the only note I have was to improve the initial kick off and involve all parties from the get go to make sure we're all aligned. This is at no fault of the agencies but as our project has a lot of moving parts, it was easy to get lost in the detail rather than looking at the bigger picture which is to ensure a smooth consumer journey.

For what projects/services did your company hire SuperCo, and what were your goals?
We need to transfer our website from another CMS to Shopify. We wanted to provide the same design and experience as previously to users but including shop function embedded in the site. We want it done quickly and error free.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected SuperCo because of their extensive experience with Shopify. They had experience in Shopify 2.0. They could start straight away and had robust ways to manage the project.

We explained the project. Identified the pages and end site structure. Superco built designs out and we approved them. Superco then built the pages and we approved them. In a matter of 3-4 meetings the work was complete. We have tested it and it will go live next week.

3-6 team members worked on the project. Even though different people involved across Superco it was consistent communication and repetition was not needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our aim was to have the Shopify version of the website by mid-January and we have achieved that. Website launches next week, but we anticipate improved conversion in the shop.

Various software was used to support the project planning, design. But the tool we found the best and most interesting was Bubble which enabled fast and easy commenting on the website.

What challenge were you trying to address with SuperCo?
I needed someone to do my website.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
SuperCo worked on design and development. They did the website from scratch through Shopify and held my hand along the way. The team did the basics, graphics, and usual setup. After we went live, they were accommodating and offered me their support.
They initially created a mood board and put tons of ideas I was interested in using for the website. Then, they put it all together and started with website design. SuperCo gave me graphics, fonts, and all the imagery options. They ordered everything as I wanted, and then they added things that were out of my reach if I were to do them on my own.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about four people. I initially spoke to Tom (Co-Founder); we did the logistics together. After that, we worked with someone on the design elements. From there, Pablo (Product & Operations Manager) took care of everything. Once the design was done, he helped with more things — he was the one I contacted if I had any issues.
How did you come to work with SuperCo?
It was through a mutual friend. He worked with Tom and had great feedback about SuperCo. Since I was looking for a website developer and designer, he put me in touch with Tom. We had a Zoom call and went over everything.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent $2,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October–November 2021. However, I keep in touch with them. They’re more than happy to help if I need to make changes, so I’ll definitely engage them when I need updates.

It’s significantly impacted my business because I wouldn’t have been able to build a website without their help. However, they were also quick and efficient. I’d been told that this kind of work takes a long time, but they did everything in the timeframe I wanted. Overall, they got the job done and were approachable.

They performed very well. I could email them without problem, and they’d get back to me quickly.
