I am the Senior Global Brand Manager for a nonprofit organization. World Vision is an international non-profit focused on helping the most vulnerable children to overcome poverty and experience fullness of life.  We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian Faith.

Global adoption by our offices of our global brand guidelines.

How did you select Spangler Creative?

Matt previously worked on staff with World Vision and is very familiar with our brand. We did a search and decided he was the best fit based on his design skills and experience.

We collect feedback from the offices we work with, asking what should be included in the guidelines. Send all feedback to Matt to implement into the guide. Go through many rounds of review. Matt provides final global brand guide.

What was the team composition?

Just Matt Spangler.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are at 67% of offices adopting the brand guidelines. We are aiming to get to 95% by the end of September.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Matt is very responsive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They asked good questions to better understand the project and ensure everything we do is brand compliant. He brings a POV to the table that has tremendously helped shape our brand and bring our proposition to life.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, Matt's work has been exceptional.

AMG International is an international faith-based nonprofit organization. I am the Vice President for Advancement.

For what projects/services did your company hire Spangler Creative?

We hired Spangler Creative to design a new website for our organization that would incorporate my organization’s new brand statement, colors and logo. He and his team did a wonderful job. The website is clear in hour it communicates, and is clean and easy to navigate.

Throughout the process, Spangler Creative checked in with me on a regular basis to get input and share progress. After the project was completed, Matt has continued to assist us by adding pages and updating our website as needed. On top of that, Matt is fun to work with. I highly recommend Spangler Creative for your website design and other creative needs.

What were your goals for this project?

To have a clear brand image in pictures, type, design and text. And, to better articulate who we are, what we do, and why a someone should care. Our old site was difficult to navigate and it was hard for potential donors to get a clear understanding of what we do.

How did you select this vendor?

We created an FRP for the project and submitted it to several potential vendors.

Spangler Creative laid out a new design for your website that was modern and professional. They also edited our text and added several new elements to the site to make it more inviting to visitors.

What was the team composition?

We worked frequently with Matt Spangler, and with his associates; one helped with the technical part of the project and one with the test. Matt did a great job checking, getting feedback, making adjustments, sharing his expertise, and keeping his team on track.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We increased our web traffic quite a bit. In 2019 we 24,210 website users, and a 6.5% e-commerce conversion rate.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our two teams was very good. Matt scheduled regular check-ins via teleconference, and we had frequent email exchanges each week.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Matt and his team are very creative and they are gifted professionals. I felt right from the get-go that we were in good hands. Matt has a good sense of humor and made working together fun. We came away with a fantastic website, thanks to Spangler Creative.

None that I can think of.

My organization is a large international NGO focused on children's rights. I manage the Knowledge Management components of our global advocacy work.

We wanted a dynamic annual report report that shared the story, highlights and impact of our current campaign in 2018 in a visually compelling way.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to build confidence in our leadership, inform staff across our organization and celebrate the work and achievements of our field offices.

How did you select this vendor?

Matt from Spangler Creative came highly recommended from other colleagues who had worked with him on various projects. He stood out as a designer that truly cared about our mission and vision, which as a Knowledge Manager was important to me.

Once we selected Matt/Spangler Creative, we had a series of meetings to get on the same page about the goals we wanted to accomplish with this report, expectations about timeline and getting Matt's ideas about the best way to layout and present our report data.

Matt listened and also asked us really great questions to help us refine what exactly we wanted to communicate and gave us advice and showed us options on how he could design the report in support of that message. It was an incredibly collaborative process, involving a lot of Skype meetings (as we were all based in different places).

Myself (Knowledge Manager), our Campaign Integration Manager, and Spangler Creative.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We produced a 20 page report that included infographics, charts and photographs that both our team leadership and partners across our organization refer to as a standard for how our annual reporting should look.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Given that we were all based in different places and conducted all meetings virtually over Skype, our process was incredibly collaborative. Whether communicating via email or over a Skype call, we asked a lot of questions and practiced active listening ("What I hear you saying is...") to avoid any miscommunication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

When you like at a design product, you can tell whether or not the designer really cared about or understood the mission of the organization or entity the product was made for. Spangler Creative is the best in the business when it comes to a designer who is not only talented but also cares.

And it shows. Spangler Creative doesn't just meet deadlines - Matt works WITH you to figure out the best ways to highlight your products, no matter where you are in the world. In my role, it is important to me that the products my team produces do justice to the stories and data that we've captured, and it was wonderful to work with a design expert who shared that vision.

Communication was excellent. Matt was always available to answer our questions and helped guide us in the right direction. He was very open to our opinions and changes and never complained about changing course or direction during the project.

How did you select this vendor?

We already knew Matt and it was really a no brainer. We trust him, so we didn't look anywhere else.

I had some conversations with Matt where he tried to understand the primary and secondary goals of the company. It was good for him because he got to know better what we needed, but it was even better for me because he is always giving new ideas that you can put in action. From there, he developed some ideas and, after some iterations, we got our logo.

It was just Matt and me.

The logo has been useful to transmit what we can offer, and that for sure has helped to make new clients.
