I am the CTO of the cryptocurrency exchange.

For what projects/services did your company hire Solution Mentors Inc.?

We needed a fast launch of the project. The issue was that the whole infrastructure had to be deployed in the cloud and we also needed all DevOps and security processes to be completely set up. Further, we came to the conclusion that the application managed support was to be performed as well.

How did you select Solution Mentors Inc.?

A friend of mine introduced Solution Mentors to me.

Describe the project in detail.

Solution Mentors CTO first checked what we had and estimated the scope of work. Together with the team, they have worked on our existent environment and suggested improvements, updates, and changes.

After we agreed on the scope of work, the necessary documents were prepared by Solution mentors and we moved on with the working process. All the tasks could be monitored by us, we discussed current issues in regular meetings and set the priorities together. The steps were as follows:

1. Automation of all deployment processes.
2. Rightsizing of AWS cloud (for our specific needs) including the use of the newest Amazon products.
3. Setting up the deployment pipeline
4. Revisit Production (PreProd) Deployment Pipeline

At the moment all the agreed actions are completed and we get the managed support services from them only.

What was the team composition?

As I have already said, the CTO was deeply involved in the process and controlled each step of his team, which was very professional. We also worked together with the team leader, the DevOps and QA engineers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their insights have been vital to increase our company’s efficiency and save money. They have examined all the infrastructure we had and suggested the best cost-effective improvements for it.

The transitioning to AWS cloud along with the wise use of its services gave us an opportunity to cut expenses and improve the project’s capacity. In terms of DevOps and Managed Support Services, Solution Mentors have definitely shown their tough experience and strong skills in these areas.

Whenever there were doubts about whether we should use this or that application or service, they were there to give the best advice basing on their background and implement it within the stipulated terms. So, our project was launched in time ensuring a comfortable environment for all developers working on it. We got a fully customized cloud infrastructure and complete application support 24/7.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They are always easy to reach. We have regular meetings where the most urgent issues are to be discussed. Along with that we also use the Jira environment to manage all the tasks and watch their status.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Well, as compared to our previous subcontractor, the Solution Mentors team is definitely a team of professionals. They use a holistic approach when solving the most complicated issues and that really makes the whole process smooth. They are responsible, credible, and know how and when to give advice.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There are always areas for improvement. However, in overall, we are pleased working with Solution Mentors Inc.
