I'm just an artist who used Softice services to make a website.

What challenge were you trying to address with Softice Technology?

I wanted to display my work. I wanted to expose it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did a new website from scratch. I provided them with all the content and information and they handled the creation of the website as a whole. I'm a visual artist, so I like things a certain way. The website had to be simple because I pay attention to detail.

I'm not sure what technology they used, but I know they used two for another requirement I had where I wanted something that looked sophisticated — I could also deal with it myself, should I want to change things. They used one and then they had to go with something else that would be easy enough for me to manage later when the work was finished.

We collaborated on the design together. I provided them with photographs and videos, while they had to adjust them. I had very old works, with old technology, old photographs, so they had to convert them. That part of the project wasn’t easy, as I didn't have up-to-date photos which led to them going back 30 years in the past. They had to get the skills to make something good enough to fit modern standards, and they needed a bit of skill to work with the pictures that I sent, with the materials that I provided.

What is the team composition?

I don't know how many people were involved. My main point of contact was a project manager, but there would have been other people in the backend made up of developers and designers.

How did you come to work with Softice Technology?

My son found them online.

How much have you invested with them?

My son paid for their services as a gift, and I want to keep this information confidential.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2020, and the project was completed in May 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Not at the moment. The work is still new, but they have definitely impacted my business. I finally was able to expose 30 years of work in a very harmonious, organized, and visually attractive way — it’s very easy to understand for the viewers. We also have a lot of very good feedback from friends and customers.

How did Softice Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. Communication was mostly through WhatsApp, text, emails, and sometimes phone calls. I think it's important to put WhatsApp because then people know that even though they are abroad, they can have easy access to them — communication was never a problem.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They brought very good value for money. Despite the cultural and geographical differences, they understood exactly what I wanted as a client and they delivered the product successfully.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think maybe they should realize that some clients don't have much knowledge about web development. They know what they want, but they don't know the things that are involved in designing or creating a website. Maybe they assumed that I would know, but there are so many times that we got stuck because I didn't know. I couldn't deliver what they wanted because I didn't even know what it was, so that took a little bit of time and I think that's why the project lasted long. 

It could also be because we had the COVID-19 pandemic in between developments. I think they should not assume that clients are going to be as knowledgeable to understand what they need. Sometimes, I needed things and I didn't know what exactly I meant and it took a while. The process would’ve been easier, but it was still manageable.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would say to think very carefully and make sure you know what you want. Contact them once you know exactly what you want, because once you do, they’ll go gung ho on the project, and you'll feel overwhelmed. Be sure to express exactly what you have in mind, and that there is a mutual understanding between both parties. It's better to be careful and clear about things in the beginning.

I’m the owner of an education platform. A lot of companies are offering coaching classes but all those are limited because once people get into the real world, 90% of the people don’t know how to grasp the best opportunity which is available in the market right now.

What challenge were you trying to address with Softice Technology?

We needed help with developing our app, which allows users to get international certification and jobs. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Softice Technology built our Android mobile app. The app allows people to appear in their particular domain which they are best at. If they’re a developer, they can simply pay for the developer international certification.

If they’re in some other domain, they can pay for that. If they clear their exam, they will get certified. We also provide the data to the different companies that are looking for the right people.

The app allows access to videos and PDFs free of charge. The app functions like a job portal. In this case, our team put in all the different jobs from all the best platforms in the world, sorted by category. Users from all around the world can simply search all the jobs and apply to that job from the same app.

What is the team composition?

We work with both a front- and backend developer.

How did you come to work with Softice Technology?

I heard about them from a couple of other people. We didn’t have a very big budget and they were able to work with it.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested $1,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Things are good. The app lags a bit. I increased one particular function which took 2-3 days to implement. It was supposed to be finished in December but it’s already January. The work is quite good enough though.

How did Softice Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

Our team communicates via phone and WhatsApp. They provide us with weekly updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Softice Technology does good work. The quality is dependent on your budget.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need to meet deadlines. If someone is investing, they want it to be done on time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re good but there’s a lot of delays. If you have the time, I suggest going with them. If you’re in a rush, they’re not a great company to work with.
