Design the overarching site architecture. Establish the fundamental content requirements, functional linkages and operating structure. Design the graphic look and feel of the site. Then based on the above agreed parameters, build the site from the ground up. Working with a contact academic, load the content, test the functionality, modify requirements and deliverables on the fly. Deliver a polished outcome and load onto the clients domain.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Approval of the finished site by the executive directors of the graduate school. Timing was agreed, but not critical. Pricing was fixed following initial negotiations.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Responsiveness was often instant; within hours at longest. Project management was structured according to the early completion of the architecture tasks. Project management style was friendly, collaborate, collegiate and cooperative; highly professional but with a sense of humour.
Changing requirements were accommodated readily (this was helped by the client having a strong outsourcing background, such that only simple flexibility was requested and major variations were not demanded).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Cultural fit. Both parties were on the same wavelength about what was included, what timing was expected, how editing and modifying was to take place. Each was able to allocate tasks to the other in a bilateral interplay that worked smoothly. Very quickly the contractual relationship had a 'family' feel that allowed the project to run smoothly and successfully.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Sky Systems, Inc. could have done differently?

Not on this project. Our expectations were fully met. Other projects might challenge those skill sets we didn't draw upon, as growth and development is a lifelong process, but in this instance, there was no improvement needed.
