Sigit built us an innovative platform for real estate selling and renting. We wanted to have an advanced search engine, integrated map view of the properties and detailed description of each property that consisted of photos, Youtube video and Street view integration and many more.

The project was structured into phases where in each scope Sigit team would focus on what had to be built.

Key factor in project development was their ability to shift and iterate on new circumstances that wasn't necessarily defined before the beginning of the project.

Their project management is structured in 2-week sprints. The goals are defined on the beginning of the week and during the 2-week period we are in a constant communication. Each sprint is finished with a meeting where key developments are shown and new iterations and goals are set.

Their timing is excellent; in each sprint, all the needed tasks have been done on time.

SIGIT provided us with senior full-stack Java developer. His was responsible for leading the whole vertival on the project, from data model, to backend services and UI development. As a member of our team we had a great collaboration, our members learned a lot on how to setup key komponents and organize the project assets and deliverables for sustainability and maintenance.

The key deliverables were JAva and Angular source code, deployment pipeline setup and automated testing suite, so that our QA could easily create test cases and reports after each release.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had some strict deadlines on that project. But even more important was the code quality where we defined from the start the user acceptance criteria and the way of working. Our main KPIs were implementing the features as planned per each release, measuring testing results and incidents in production. SIGIT team has some high standars that ensure code quality with less critical errors happening during QA proces, which resulted in faster delivery at the end.

The software delivered for testing would always be in the working state. We could find bugs during QA process, but never critical issues in the production.

They are really good communicatiors, and advisors so that often they would point out potential issues in advance and help us mitigate those risks, or change the business logic. Their advice was invaluable to us, and we had a good overview of the project status on their end.

They are well organised and really good at managing expectations. We were aware of the critical path and devs from SIGIT would help us understand if we need more time for the implementation. We had such situatuons to move the deadline, but we knew why and agreed on the change.

Without a doubt, their support is invaluable, we were constantly in control of the budget and deliverables. We have trust in SIGIT that they will go an extra mile just to make sure their solution is implemented properly and working as expected.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our whole team enjoyed working with SIGIT guys, they are experts in their field, but also open and patient with us as their clients. As we are also an IT company, our tech standards are quite high, so we prefer working with partners at the same level. We have enormous trust and respect for them, as they are genuinely friendly and interested in our problems and collaborative on finding a solution. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something SIGIT Agency could have done differently?

Sometimes they were giving us too many options, which is not bad, but it was difficult for us to make a decision. I understand they can't take that responsibility, but adding a service on demand for a senior consultant would help us a lot in making those decisions faster as we don't fully understand the technical impact of a certain solution on future budget and maintenance.

At the end we would manage to analyse all the business impacts and decide on the best solution for us at that given moment.

Project is for the telecommunications sector, aimed at developing an internal application from scratch. Our scope of work required a broad range of specialized skills, including frontend development using Angular, backend development with Java, and DevOps expertise specifically in Jenkins and AWS. 

The project was delineated to run for a three-month period, during which we were tasked with establishing a fully operational production environment. An integral aspect of the project was the successful development of the application into functional, deployable Docker images.

The key deliverables included: 

• Creation and setup of a robust production environment utilizing Jenkins and AWS. 
• Development of the frontend of the application using Angular, ensuring user-friendliness 
• Crafting a robust and secure backend with Java, ensuring high performance and reliability. 
• Delivery of the fully-functional application encapsulated into Docker images, ready for deployment into the production environment. 

The completion of these deliverables was to be within the agreed-upon three-month deadline, with the final goal of having the application fully integrated and operational in the production environment.

The measurable outcomes from this project were multiple and indicative of substantial progress and success. SIGIT engineers distinguished themselves not only by delivering within the tight deadline but also by assuming the roles of consultants and business analysts. This dual-function approach demonstrated their capacity to adapt and effectively collaborate with our business teams. 

They swiftly grasped critical business requirements, substantially streamlining the process and resulting in significant time and cost savings. Another crucial outcome was the high coding standard they maintained. The code they developed exhibited minimal vulnerabilities as evidenced by testing using the OWASP vulnerability scanner. This highlights the team's commitment to creating secure, robust software. 

Lastly, their commitment to transparency and effective communication was invaluable. By conducting regular progress demos, they kept us continually apprised of the project's status. These updates served as checkpoints for progress, and also fostered an environment of cooperation and mutual understanding. In summary, the project outcomes were not just about software development and meeting deadlines, but also about building strong relationships, enhancing business understanding, and delivering secure, robust software.

What stood out about SIGIT was how involved they were, how well they communicated, and how professionally they acted. It felt like they had everything under control because of their knowledge and their ability to stay ahead of things at every stage of the project. 

Their skills were obvious in all parts of the project, but what made them special was that they didn't just respond to problems, they were always one step ahead. They saw issues before they happened and fixed them early. This meant the project always ran smoothly. Having such a professional and forward-thinking team looking after the project gave us peace of mind. Their mix of good communication, strong involvement, and excellent skills made working with them a great experience.
