BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a company called HerCare. We’re healthcare providers in Sweden and we help women with hormonal imbalance.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Shortcut Sweden?

We wanted to digitize our process of helping women get better healthcare, so we decided to create an app to test their hormones. This app also helps them get more knowledge and information about their well-being, so they can know when to get in contact with a healthcare provider.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Shortcut Sweden is developing an iOS version of the app for us.

What is the team composition?

We work with Gabriel (CEO) and a total of six other people on this app.

How did you come to work with Shortcut Sweden?

I got in contact with Gabriel after our recruitment firm helped us find a CTO who could develop our app. We ended up hiring them to develop the entire app since we don’t have any resources in-house to do so.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around 1 million SEK (approximately $116,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership started in April 2021, and it’s still ongoing.   

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We immediately gained 1,000 active users for the app testing, and we’ve received a lot of wonderful responses from our customers. Since the release of the app, we’ve increased our monthly active users to 2,500 — which is amazing because we haven’t put any effort into marketing yet.

Moreover, one of the biggest newspapers in Sweden thought our app was a very good initiative for women’s health.

How did Shortcut Sweden perform from a project management standpoint?

I only have good things to say about them, because their help came at such a critical time for the company. They work very hard despite the tight deadlines and they don’t give up. Shortcut Sweden is constantly supporting us and solving any issues that come up.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like that they’ve taken on a very important role in the development, so we can continually build and add more features to the app, to make it more helpful to women.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re completely satisfied with their work so they don’t have anything to improve on. We’re continuing to work with them because we feel that they’re always looking out for our company’s best interests.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When Gabriel started working with us, we had a detailed presentation of the business model on how we work with women. My advice would be to make sure everybody in their team understands your business model and what you want to prioritize.
