The cooperation has been ongoing since 2020 and involved comprehensive custom web development of our web portals with React. The team also had a PM specialist on its own. The development and maintenance of all services are still ongoing.

Up until recently, it included two PHP developers and one frontend developer. Now, we are working with one PHP dev and one frontend dev (React), a designer, and a Project Manager.

The product Serious Web created made it possible for us to keep up with the increasing traffic and demands that resulted from it. They helped build a scalable and easy-to-manage content-heavy portal that grows with its user base.

We’ve worked with their Project Manager and he meets our needs. We use industry-standard communication tools (email, Slack, Jira) and SCRUM/Kanban approach to development.

Serious Web`s flexibility makes it possible to increase and decrease their involvement based on our needs. Their overall ability to deliver was highly impressive.

No. During the project, any issues we raised were solved efficiently and there is nothing major I can think of.

However, I must say, there was not much to change or adjust, as the team is highly professional and knew exactly what we needed.

What challenge were you trying to address with Serious Web?

We sought Serious Web’s services in developing an internal booking system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their engagement?

At the outset, we gave them a brief description and the functionalities we wanted on our system. They were in charge of the UIUX design. I cannot say much about the technology part of the project other than we got the product we wanted from them and it worked correctly.

This application is an internal booking tool installed on our computers. We use it locally, for our clients to input their data and see all of it by the end of the month.

I was in touch with their project manager. I don't know exactly how many people were working on the booking system on their end.

I got in contact with them via Facebook after I saw their ad. We contacted the company and organized the details of the project.

We spent $5,700 on the project. The booking system cost $5,000 and we gave them a $700 bonus for delivering the project earlier than expected.

We began our partnership in August 2021, and the project was delivered in December 2021.

I'm very satisfied with the product, the corporation, and their correspondence. They answered our questions and messages quickly. The booking system that they developed for our business has made our work faster.

How did Serious Web perform from a project management standpoint?

They were able to deliver the project before the set timeline. It was ready in four months, rather than the five months we’d originally anticipated.

Serious Web used Trello to organize and manage all their tasks. We mainly communicated via phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were great with communication and quick to arrange things. I trusted them with our project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Every person in general needs a little improvement, but everything was excellent with them.

Communication and transparency are important in achieving what you want. Give them a clear project timeline for a successful engagement.

Serious Web provided us with custom software development. I provided them with technical documentation about my needs before they began the project. The goal was to develop a custom platform to control and monitor our company projects. Once they received my documentation, Serious Web designed the UX/UI in Figma and developed the platform using PHP. Serious Web ensured that there was access to the platform for my customers — they put together a unique customer-facing site.

I was very satisfied with Serious Web’s deliverables — the cost-to-quality ratio was very good, and they delivered beyond the scope of work. Serious Web didn’t have to complete any maintenance because the project went so smoothly.

Serious Web’s project manager was great and provided me with a project lifecycle to follow; they used GitHub and Bitrix24 for project management. We mainly communicated through Telegram and phone calls.
