We needed a cybersecurity and managed IT services provider.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SemTech IT Solutions provides cybersecurity and managed IT services for our company. We call the team when we need technical support, and SemTech IT Solutions also works on special projects. The team manages our firewalls and is responsible for repairing and replacing our hardware equipment as needed. 

SemTech IT Solutions also assists with onboarding our new hires by creating the teammate's email address and signature. The team has also purchased and installed software, providing remote services and on-site troubleshooting if necessary.

What is the team composition?

We work with Tyler (Help Desk Technician) and Nick (Director of IT) on a regular basis but don't have a designated team from SemTech IT Solutions; when we require technical assistance, the teammate available at the moment assists. 

How did you come to work with SemTech IT Solutions?

Our company placed a bid for IT services providers. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with SemTech IT Solutions in 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I'm completely satisfied with SemTech IT Solutions' work. 

How did SemTech IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Anytime we have an issue, SemTech IT Solutions resolves it in a timely fashion. If a teammate can't jump on the phone call at the moment, they usually fix it within the same day. SemTech IT Solutions meets deadlines and communicates via email and phone calls.

I would like to shout out Tyler and Nick.

Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything for SemTech IT Solutions to improve.

I recommend potential clients to reach out to SemTech IT Solutions because they always have an available teammate ready to help.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SemTech IT Solutions provides remote and on-site IT managed services and cybersecurity solutions. I’ve started the process by letting them know what I’m looking for so they can provide me with helpful visual information about their services. The team has also handled hardware and software purchasing, workstation setup, and firewall installation, among other tasks.

Overall, whenever we have any questions or requests, we reach out to them through a service request, and someone from their team gets back to us within ten minutes.

I’ve worked with several members of SemTech IT Solutions’ team.

So far, we’ve spent around $5,000 with them.

SemTech IT Solutions' work has enabled us to concentrate on our own work without worrying about our IT needs, which is helpful. Overall, they've exceeded our expectations.

How did SemTech IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

SemTech IT Solutions' team delivers on time and budget and communicates well with us. Regarding tools, we use email and their support ticketing system.

SemTech IT Solutions' communication is their biggest strength.

Initially, I called and spoke with SemTech IT Solutions. They set up a meeting, and I told them what I was doing. We got started from there.

SemTech IT Solutions primarily works on-site.

What is the team composition?

Lance (Field Engineer & Tier 3 Support) leads the project. Alfredo (Level 3 Engineer) helps him with the phones. Additionally, someone else comes with them when they install equipment.

They provided similar services to my prior employer.

We began working with them in May 2023, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I wouldn’t have any computing solutions without SemTech IT Solutions. My company opened when they started; it didn’t exist before that.

How did SemTech IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay on budget. We usually communicate through phone calls or emails, depending on the urgency of the situation. Overall, their responsiveness is good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re willing to dig in and understand my business so they can craft custom solutions instead of pulling something off the shelf.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m happy with what they’re doing.

Be as forthright as possible about the timing that you need for your project.
