Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the system analysis team lead for a supply chain integration company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Semantive?

We wanted to develop a custom tool for our system analytics. We had developed some preliminary models and a preliminary version of the tool, but we wanted to get the tool implemented according to software standards. Semantive helped us with that.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Semantive basically developed the tool for our needs. It is based on Python technology. They rearranged and expanded the functionality of our preliminary version of the tool. They also did some design work to structure the tool in a more complete way. We now have a really good tool that helps us with our system analytics work.

What is the team composition?

We worked with five people in total. We had a project lead and a number of software engineering people.

How did you come to work with Semantive?

The project started before I joined, but some of the members of our team had collaborated with them previously and had a positive experience.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2021, and the partnership just ended in April 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The tool that Semantive developed has saved us considerable time when it comes to analytics work. Tasks that previously took a couple of days to complete can now be done within hours.

How did Semantive perform from a project management standpoint?

Their time management was really good, and they always met deadlines. Our collaboration was very positive.

We used Asana as a project management and communication tool, which worked nicely. Additionally, we corresponded through Slack, and we had weekly meetings on Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Semantive’s proactivity, efficiency, and manner of working were their main strengths. It was very easy to collaborate with them, and they helped us through the entire project to define the requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it worked out so well that I don’t have any negative aspects to report on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have regular meetings with the team because it helps to get the project going. Using Asana is a good way to collaborate with them as well.
