Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

FlowSync needed to overcome scalability issues that were limiting our growth. To facilitate this, we required a robust and advanced CI/CD system, as well as end-to-end observability and monitoring of our production microservices. The environment we had was not automated, nor was it employing version control during deployment, or giving real-time visibility, so we could not scale reliably.

• ScaleNova also built and implemented a high-end CI/CD pipeline for the architecture of FlowSync with next-generation DevOps tools and methodologies.
• ScaleNova implemented end-to-end logging and monitoring for all the microservices, which gave the team end-to-end visibility into the performance of the system and problems.

On this foundation, FlowSync was finally able to scale the software securely and effectively.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

ScaleNova understood our scalability problems immediately and gave us just what we needed. Their deployment of the CI/CD and observability tooling was excellent and highly effective. We can scale freely now without the technical limitations that were previously holding us back.

This engagement focused on establishing a robust, scalable, and efficient DevOps pipeline and modern cloud infrastructure for FitJew's innovative platform connecting Orthodox Jews within a Kosher workout environment. Our team collaborated closely with FitJew's engineering and product teams to implement best-in-class DevOps practices and leverage the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS). 
The primary objective was to accelerate their development cycles, enhance application reliability, and provide a secure and compliant infrastructure foundation for their growing user base.

Key Deliverables:

• AWS Cloud Infrastructure: A secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS environment tailored to FitJew's needs, including a well-architected VPC and a highly available RDS instance.
• Production-Ready Amazon EKS Cluster: A fully configured and secured Kubernetes cluster for orchestrating FitJew's microservices, with built-in scalability and resilience.
• Automated Jenkins-Based CI/CD Pipeline: A streamlined and automated pipeline for building, testing, and deploying FitJew's applications to the EKS cluster, accelerating release cycles and improving software quality.
• Comprehensive Documentation: Detailed documentation of the implemented infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline, and best practices to enable FitJew's team to effectively manage and maintain their new environment.
• Knowledge Transfer Sessions: Workshops and training sessions conducted with FitJew's team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to operate and evolve their AWS and DevOps infrastructure.

We effectively utilized Jira system and Agile methodology to get clear visibility into the project's progress. We took proactive approach in collaborating with our product management to define and thoroughly groom all tasks upfront, ensuring a strong alignment with our requirements. This collaborative planning was instrumental in achieving our objectives within the agreed-upon two-sprint timeframe.
