The campaign is ongoing, so outcomes are ever-changing. The City team meets with the Savage team bi-weekly to go over a wide variety of performance indicators like amount spent, impressions, link clicks, CPC, CTR, email open rates, keyword rankings, etc. We also talk about our goals for the next quarter. In our first year, our big success was launching our website and social channels in time for the Wisconsin State Fair.

The Savage team has delivered on the project with excellent quality and in the timeframe we expected.  Our timeline has shifted / changed and they've worked with us to adjust to meet our needs.  Stakeholders/BOD members have been pleased with the quality of the work.  We have not yet launched the new brand so don't have measurable results yet, but the work done is outstanding.

Don't be afraid to ask even more questions of the client to make certain you know their business super well.  Tough when you are an agency servign a wide array of clients, but even deeper understanding might be helpful.  And, don't be afraid to test thinking on direction informally along the way (in addition to formal check-ins/meetings).

We needed help with our branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Savage Creative conducted a brand audit and market research for us. The team recreated our brand and logo. We initially talked to Cory (Owner) about what we wanted to do. Savage Creative sent over a proposal with a cost analysis and timeline. Once we signed the proposal, we got moving right away.

In terms of our brand guidelines, Savage Creative helped us focus on our target market. From a marketing standpoint, they reached out to a few of our customers and asked questions to help with the market research. The team also compared our brand to other companies to see how we could stand out.

What is the team composition?

We worked with at least seven teammates from Savage Creative. We mainly worked with Mary on the communication piece. However, everyone was involved in the project; everyone asked questions, reached out, and spoke with us.

How did you come to work with Savage Creative?

My business partner and Cory were introduced a few years ago. I ended up reaching out to Cory and having coffee with him to talk about getting our brand into Costco. Cory had another company in Costco, so I wanted to talk to him about the process.

We met and got to know Savage Creative and what they do. They’re a nice local company, so we wanted to work with them because we like supporting local companies.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–September 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t implemented all the changes yet, so it’s still early in the process. We’re still working on changing our full label designs. However, we’ve put out the new logo, which has brought new awareness to our business.

The quality of Savage Creative's work met our expectations. We were happy with how the project turned out. We're now good friends with Cory, and the team opened doors for us, allowing us to take on the project ourselves. The project gave us a great starting point, and now we can manage it from there. Just because we've wrapped this project doesn't mean we're done with Savage Creative; they're a great resource who can help with other things as needed and help us continue to grow if we decide to rebrand.

How did Savage Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Savage Creative delivered work on time and on budget. We mainly communicated via email. We also had Zoom calls and in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with Savage Creative’s versatility. The team had a wide range of people, including users of our products, a chef, and someone who had never grilled a day in her life. We really liked their creativity and how they went about things. The questions they asked and how they helped us differentiate ourselves were really important to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing Savage Creative could have improved on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open-minded. It’s hard to create a business yourself, and it’s easy to get stuck on how you want your business to look. Savage Creative is very creative and good at what they do. If you open your mind and allow them to do their job, they’ll absolutely help you.

Endura is a brand-new company, and we hired Savage Creative Agency for a brand workshop and branding definition to make a brand workbook. The goal was to bring all the parties involved in the firm together to define what we were trying to build and what the brand should look like.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team provided branding services from scratch. We started off with negotiating a contract and then had a discovery workshop. Savage Creative Agency did some work and came back with concepts two or three weeks later. From those concepts, we determined a path forward. They furthered the brand and came back to us with an actual logo, look, and colors. We fine-tuned those until they were done.

We were blown away by Savage Creative Agency’s work. After a couple of weeks, they provided us with the final workbook. They came back with two proposals, and we liked both directions. They combined those in a way that we were really pleased with. They created a logo that everyone on the team took to. It's got sharp edges to it. Overall, we were really happy with the results. They nailed it.

How did Savage Creative Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicated well, and the timeframe was exactly what we agreed to. The project went one week longer, but that was just to do a couple of cleanup things. The project was also on budget. Regarding project management, we used phone calls, emails, and a service to access files.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They truly listened and tried to get to know us so that their work reflected who we were. They took our input and synthesized it. Savage Creative Agency did a great job of holistically listening to us. Ultimately, they truly made an effort to holistically listen to everybody.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Savage Creative Agency could’ve done a slightly better job scheduling some of the meetings. We were always able to get everybody together, but all the people on our team were busy. It was best to schedule meetings with more lead time. However, this didn’t affect anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust the process. Creative branding takes time, so allow them the time to do the work. Savage Creative Agency will meet the timeline and do great work.

I’m a strategy officer for a global localization and translation company specializing in video games, e-learning, and construction safety.

What challenge were you trying to address with Savage Creative Agency?

Initially, we hired them for a brand refresh. Then, we hired them again to refresh our video game-focused brand. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Savage Creative Agency provided us with branding services. For our first project, we had an established brand we loved, so we didn’t want to rebrand. Therefore, we asked Savage Creative Agency to update our aesthetics and copy to match the company we had grown into. 

The team did a deep dive into our website, industry, and competition to understand what other companies presented. From there, Savage Creative Agency helped us adjust how we approached our messaging. They also executed focus groups and individual interviews with members of our organization, not only at the executive and marketing levels but also at the operational level. 

We wanted to portray an authentic brand, so Savage Creative Agency interviewed team members on the front lines who interact with our end clients. Savage Creative Agency also used our existing collateral to determine how to modify our capability statements and business cards. 

The team helped us rethink who we were, from soup to nuts. From there, they helped us develop branding statements, internal mission, and vision and updated our logo and aesthetics. Savage Creative Agency also created a mock-up of our new website design. 

For the video games-focused brand, the brand refresh was more subtle. Savage Creative Agency focused on updating the copy and aesthetics to match who we were as a company. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with 5–7 teammates from Savage Creative Agency. Initially, we worked with Cory (CEO & Partner) to establish the relationship. For each project, we had a point of contact, a dedicated copywriter, and creative folks involved in the rest of the tasks.

How did you come to work with Savage Creative Agency?

We went on an extensive six-month search. Initially, I searched for agencies in our area and women-owned businesses. Since we didn’t find the right fit, we expanded our search to other local businesses; that’s how we found Savage Creative Agency. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from around October 2020–April 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We noticed an increase in our inbound marketing and much more traffic to both websites. When we launched the second project, we saw many people verbalize how blown away they were by Savage Creative Agency’s work on the brand refresh.

How did Savage Creative Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They stayed on budget, and when we made any supplementary requests, the team was super transparent about their capability and how it would impact the budget. As for project management, Savage Creative Agency was really flexible and communicative. If something wasn’t working for us, we could share it, and they were always willing to make changes. 

After we agreed on the initial timeline, Savage Creative Agency took the reins on everything. Although we needed to meet certain deadlines to provide information for them, they took everything else behind the scenes, which was nice. 

As for communication, we primarily used email and had occasional Google Meet calls as they finished each phase of the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What Savage Creative Agency did best was taking their time to get to know us. They saw this as an investment in the project to reflect who we were as an organization thoroughly. I also appreciated their willingness to return to the drawing board when something wasn’t working.

For example, we gave them feedback on something we didn’t like and went back 3–4 times. Each time, Savage Creative Agency focused on understanding how they could change this aspect to make it right for us; many other companies I know wouldn’t do this. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We noticed some areas of improvement and shared them with the team directly. These pieces of feedback were about granular details we would have liked them to do differently, and none impacted the overall success of our project.

I recommend being open; put it all on the table, even if some of your ideas are contradictory. Starting from a place of many ideas and then narrowing things down is good. From there, let the process work and allow Savage Creative Agency to do what they’re really good at — the creative component.
