I’m the executive of Camperoni, a consumer products and services company. We help parents manage their kids’ schedules by curating local activities, offering easy sign-up and coordination tools, and integrating with family calendars and communication preferences.

We hired them to develop our backend infrastructure.

What was the scope of their involvement?

It was an evergreen project where we gave them new tasks every week to add functionality to our Django-based backend API. They did performance improvement work (increasing speed and the amount of data stored) and added functionality like certification management, distance calculation, zip code/address storage, and new APIs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We increased our performance and added the functionality we wanted. The business impact is hard to quantify. We had dozens of tasks that we created, each of which impacted multiple areas of our website and our business.

How did Rocketeams perform from a project management standpoint?

They were almost always on time, and when they weren’t, they had a good reason. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was a pleasant experience with good communication, excellent skills, and a pleasant, “can-do” attitude. I loved their deep expertise and willingness to find the solution and learn about stuff, come up with alternatives when something didn’t work, and try out new things to accomplish the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Perfect is the enemy of good, so there’s always something they can improve. However, I can’t think of anything. They get an A+.

Can you describe the scope of work Rocketeams handled for your rail-mounted optics project?

Rocketeams has created the first version of our ballistic app. The team has developed the backend, databases, and frontend based on a Figma design. Rocketeams has also helped with testing, deployment, and support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Rocketeams has created the entire backend and helped deploy it to AWS. The team has also done a great job creating the frontend from an incomplete Figma design. We’ve been able to release the first version of our app after six months.

How did Rocketeams perform from a project management standpoint?

Rocketeams has delivered on time. The team has even worked longer hours because we needed to display the first few screens at a conference. We’ve communicated through in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

I’m most impressed by how Rocketeams always gets their tasks done no matter what. Even if the deadline is dropped on them out of nowhere or if they have a religious holiday, they always make up for the lost progress.
