We hired them to help develop an app supported on iOS, Android, and desktop. It needed an extensive backend infrastructure that could integrate the original game—built by a different developer—and its database. It also needed to handle a high volume of users as we grow our audience. Lastly, we needed an extensive number of resources to complete it all at once.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our team’s graphic designer created mockups of the desired layout for the Resourcifi team. Using that, they then created the final design. The app can support leaderboards and allows us to track other kinds of winning criteria. It can also track what products people are playing for and for how long, and deliver analytics reports of similar statistics. By the end, they developed an elaborate prototype of the final system.

We worked with an account manager, a lead developer/architect, an iOS developer, an Android developer, a PHP developer, a database person, and an infrastructure person to handle Amazon Web Services (AWS).

I was in talks with other companies, but my friend recommended their team and sent me their contact information. I was quite impressed with the breadth of services that they had to offer.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We will implement their prototype once we finish negotiating with a potential client. We intend to use their services again to fine-tune the final product and tweak the graphics and UI. Overall, they've delivered a quality product at a third of the price of a local developer.

They communicated effectively from beginning to end. We collaborated via email, Jira, and video conference calls. I served as the project manager without any difficulties; it was like having my own in-house team of developers.

We had an exhaustive list of website issues that needed attention from an experienced, yet affordable web developer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We didn’t need Resourcifi to redesign the entire website, but we did require a significant amount of work on the backend. One of their biggest tasks was rebuilding our subscription engine. After several rounds of testing, they successfully switched our e-commerce provider from PayPal to CyberSource and implemented recurring billing. They also migrated our hosting, set up a staging server, and made sure that our media streaming functioned properly. On the frontend, they cleaned up the UI while ensuring mobile device compatibility.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our old website was inoperable, unreliable, and negatively affecting our subscriber-base. Now that Resourcifi has come on board, the site works flawlessly. We’re now able to record our revenue and manage subscriptions.

It’s clear that they care about our success because they work hard to keep the project on schedule. Although they’re known for sticking to the procedure, they’re flexible enough to adapt to our time difference. The developer that they designed to work for us full time operates as an extension of our team rather than a contracted vendor. Jira has also been a great asset for tracking email correspondence and work tickets.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Resourcifi is the most cost-effective web development firm that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. We get a lot of work done at an affordable rate, in contrast to our previous web developer who charged an hourly rate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They try their best to accommodate our schedule, but we still experience a few obstacles due to the different time zones.

The project involved several connected parts of our digital and internal systems rather than one standalone application. Resourcifi helped us look at how information moved between different parts of the business and worked with us on custom development, system integrations, product and catalog workflows, and improvements to the customer-facing experience.
Some of the early assumptions changed once we looked more closely at how our team actually worked, so there was a fair amount of discussion around what should be automated and what still needed human review. The key deliverables included the development work, system improvements, integrations, workflow changes, and the technical support needed to put everything into use.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The biggest improvement was a reduction in some of the manual work our team had been dealing with. Information was easier to manage across the different systems, and we had a cleaner foundation for supporting a large and growing product catalog.
The project also helped us spend less time working around technical limitations and more time on the business itself. Not every result was something we could express as a single percentage, but the improvements in workflow and day-to-day efficiency were clear.

The process was organized without feeling overly formal. We had regular discussions and reviewed work as it progressed, which helped us catch a few things that needed clarification before they went too far.
There were some timeline adjustments when requirements changed, but those were handled reasonably and we understood what was causing them. They were also willing to revisit parts of the work when our team realized that the way something looked on paper was different from how it worked in practice.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out was their ability to understand the business problem behind the technical request. With a business like ours, it would have been easy to simply build what was originally requested and move on.
Instead, they sometimes questioned whether the first solution was actually the best one, which led to better conversations and a few changes in direction. I appreciated that they were comfortable working through the less visible parts of the business instead of focusing only on the customer-facing side.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Resourcifi Inc. could have done differently?

The early requirements process could have been a little more structured. We spent some time clarifying how certain internal processes worked after the project had already started, and having those conversations earlier probably would have saved some back and forth. Once the team had a better understanding of the full picture, the engagement moved much more smoothly.

What impressed us most about Resourcifi was their ability to comprehend our needs and their quick turn around time. Their extensive experience was demonstrated through their process and enabled them to integrate with our team.

We've had great experience working with one developer. I'm not quite sure what that be if we were to have more people from their team onboarded. That isn't feedback but an area unexplored.

I am the Founder & CEO of Ecoalition, which develops beautiful bracelets and other products to come that are all made from recycled components reclaimed from the ocean, beaches and land. In addition, we plant a tree in your name in the most deforested regions of Brazil to protect the Amazon and heal our planet. As we were approaching launch, I did not feel comfortable with the website front end as it was dark and needed a full website refresh. Our creative director came up with a completely new site design leveraging more of our vast media library. Resourcifi was brought in as true Shopify experts to bring this refresh (among many other elements) to life with a completely new website beyond our expectations.

I have run digital advertising agencies for the past 25 years and conducted all of the agency selections including Resourcifi. They rose to the top and it was truly an easy decision based on their 20+ years of experience and deep Shopify expertise. The decision was one of the biggest and best selections of Ecoalition speeding our path to launch and infusing their own technical savvy coupled with best of breed recommendations and creative solutions to every challenge!

I initially help a kickoff meeting with our Account leader Upasana and our project manager Suddharshan to discuss the sense of urgency and review the website comps. Suddharshan and I meet daily each morning to review progress and next steps in an Agile / Scrum management style. Resourcifi is leveraging a combination of Shopify front-end development and custom code to make our website perfect for our objectives and to integrate with our back-end CRM and fulfillment systems.

The project deliverables were a completely new website with numerous pages and our main ecommerce engine integrated with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Resourcifi was an absolute pleasure to work with and their expertise, creativity, and overall drive / attitude was impeccable.

The team aligns so well with the Ecoalition mission and vision that I could not imagine another partner on this initiative. They consistently went above and beyond to meet our aggressive launch timelines including working late and often weekends to get it done! I cannot state strongly enough what a game-changer Resourcifi was for our team!
