I’m the owner of INhollywoodTV, a multi-platform network, video production company, and service.

What challenge were you trying to address with Red Tech Hub?

Our company is futuristic and forward-thinking, so we needed a wide range of tech support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Red Tech Hub built our website platform, which is like LinkedIn but specific to show business. Users put in their headshots or logo, demo reels or promo videos, social media links, etc. There’s a portion called the Dream Box where users organize all their projects.

People can put together teams for their movie or other projects through the platform, and it has an impressive calendar feature that keeps track of everything and syncs with iCal and Google calendar. The calendar also notifies users if they double book and allows them to reschedule, notifying the parties automatically.

What is the team composition?

I interact with Red Tech Hub’s CEO and someone he recently partnered with. One of them is always available, and they have a team that I’ve talked to before.

How did you come to work with Red Tech Hub?

I worked with a few different IT professionals before, but I always had a hard time communicating effectively. I built up a rapport with one of their partners, who was Red Tech Hub’s CEO, so we started working together.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $115,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2013, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Red Tech Hub uses our app, which should speak for itself. Every time a user has an app or platform idea, they can easily reach out to Red Tech Hub on our platform.

Our rollout is pretty slow, with another update coming in about six weeks. The platform is also completely private right now; it only has about 70 people that I’ve personally worked with. Everyone likes it, and we’re trying to make it more functional. We’re in a beta phase right now and continuing to fine tune and improve the platform.

How did Red Tech Hub perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Kakao, WhatsApp, and email to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They treat me well and appreciate my input. If I ever have a challenge, they’re quick to respond and fix things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve been working on the billing, which is a bit too casual. If I’m going to refer people to them, the billing needs to be more organized.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know exactly what you want and be very clear about it. Draw each and every page out. If someone is experienced in making mockups, that’ll be helpful.
