I’m the founding editor of Positive News Press, an internet-based news agency focused on helping people find, collect, and share positive news from around the world.

What challenge were you trying to address with RAIL + STEAM?

RAIL + STEAM has helped me since I started my business, and they’ve been involved in the process of creating my site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

RAIL + STEAM helped me develop my webpage and the way everything flows in it from scratch. Initially, I met with them and shared my concept and ideas, and they put everything together.

Aside from that, RAIL + STEAM helped me with the branding of my company. They researched to see what was available on the internet, and they developed my company’s name based on that research.

We’re currently working with them on the first real story done by scratch by my team, for which RAIL + STEAM is putting everything together.

What is the team composition?

I have one main point of contact who is a really nice person.

How did you come to work with RAIL + STEAM?

I was involved in a public service and political opportunity, where I was interviewed to give my point of view. RAIL + STEAM was the company that put together everything on that occasion, and I really liked the way they handled the presentation, so I asked them to help me with my project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around June 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

RAIL + STEAM created a very effective webpage; it is well designed and well laid out. NPR (National Public Radio) did a small story on us, which was nice. Additionally, we’ve had submissions and people who have reached out to us from as far as Australia, so we’ve seen this project growing throughout this year.

RAIL + STEAM has created a sustainable project for me. I have a fair amount of traffic, a lot of good reports, and many good submissions from people sharing their stories.

How did RAIL + STEAM perform from a project management standpoint?

RAIL + STEAM performs very well. They’re very good at updating my team about the project, and they offer very good communication. One person from my team is very tech-savvy, and they’ve worked well together.

Additionally, their team treats me well, and they’re always punctual. We usually communicate via phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

RAIL + STEAM is very professional and respectful, and when I share an idea with them, they have the ability to get a hold of my vision. Thanks to that, we were able to take my idea from a piece of scratch paper to fruition within a few months. They listen and try to understand what I’m asking for, and they do their best to deliver that to me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any constructive feedback for them. If I had more knowledge in this field, I perhaps would have a suggestion.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Reach out and talk to them. For me, working with RAIL + STEAM meant having someone who listened to me and helped me put my project together from just an idea. Additionally, look at their work; they’ve done great things.

I own a real estate team. My day to day operations include representing parties interested in purchasing or selling assets as well as agent recruitment.

RAIL + STEAM assisted in the team branding by designing logos, coordinating photoshoots and video production.

We initially met with Justin regarding launch but met regularly with several key contacts to establish goals.

Great launch of brand and team, the brand is now a well recognized real estate group within my market
