Mynukad IT Solutions provides a utility-based mobile and web-based software. We have residential apartment complexes and automate the entire processing of security and utility management.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sanganan IT Solutions?

They delivered over 100 projects on mobile and web. We thought they’d be a good choice, and we went ahead with them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The software has QR code scanning feature for the automated entry of the helpers coming into residential apartments. We have an RFID-based IoT integration on the platform. Sanganan IT Solutions took care of both the hardware and the software.

We’re using Swift for iOS, Java for Android, MySQL for the database, PHP, React, and Node.js. We’re also using some embedded technologies for the IoT system. The platform is hosted on AWS.

How did you come to work with Sanganan IT Solutions?

I found them through a reference from a friend who’s also an entrepreneur. They developed something similar for them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $300,000–$400,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with their team in April 2015, and the platform went live in January 2016. The entire infrastructure of our platform is being taken care of by them, and we have ongoing enhancements for the system.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s a large platform with 100,000 users. The solution has been operational for the last two and a half years. We haven’t faced any issues, and it’s been good so far.

How did Sanganan IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had some R&D tasks take longer than expected, but we haven’t faced any big challenges overall. Some challenges will come up when working on something new, but nothing has blocked progress. Jira and Trello are the main project management systems we use.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their business analysis acumen is the most impressive thing about them. There are many people who understand technology, but it’s important to understand the business along with that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They shouldn’t make hard commitments on R&D tasks. They should tell us when something might take a bit longer. Otherwise, there is a minor scope of improvement, but I can’t recollect anything pressing.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d recommend working with them. They don’t have a lot of business overhead, and they work in agile, with minimal documentation. They’re flexible to changes. Otherwise, it would become difficult to manage, particularly for a startup, where we have to adapt to changes.

Please describe your company.

We are an American software company that focuses on providing pricing and risk analytics. Our target customers are usually banks, insurance companies, asset management companies, security houses as well as hedge funds. These financial institutions use our software to manage their capital markets business, either for training purposes, hedging purposes, and risk management purposes.

What is your role and responsibilities, please?

I’m responsible for business development in the Asia Pacific region. My main mandate is to work with the partners, to make sure our projects our delivered effectively and successfully in the region. I work out of the Taipei, Taiwan, office.

What was your goal for working with Sanganan IT Solutions?

We had two customers in Singapore that required a piece of technology, which our company does not provide out of the box in our software. We decided to engage with Sanganan to build that technology component so we could deliver as part of the project for the two customers in Singapore.

Software development is the only service they provide currently.

What was your process for selecting Sanganan IT Solutions with which to work?

They were referred to us by a colleague who has experience working with Sanganan in his previous job. He had very good interactions with Sanganan in the past. We did an interview with Sanganan to understand their technical as well as functional capabilities in the financial domain as well as the IT [information technology] domain. We were comfortable with giving the projects and opportunity to Sanganan after the interview.

Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?

It ranged from $30,000 to $80,000 per project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the results of the project?

There is a project that has been completed in August of 2014. There is another ongoing project, which is expected to be closed in a couple of months. That should end in late 2014.

Are you satisfied with their work?

Yes. Not only were we satisfied, our customers in Singapore were very satisfied with their work as well.

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?

It was really our end customer’s feedback that mattered to us. There were some suggestions and comments made by the end customers while we were implementing the project, but Sanganan was very quick in responding to our customer’s requirements. They were able to deliver the project effectually and successfully. They were very quick in responding to the end customers’ requirements.

Is there anything unique about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?

What I really like about Sanganan is the fact that, initially their financial domain was a bit weaker, they had some background in the field, but it was not really focusing on capital markets business as well as risk management side of which [our company] operates in. After engaging with us for a while, they were able to pick up the domain knowledge very quickly and effectively. We were comfortable in giving them the second and third projects afterward. We would love to work with Sanganan going forward if we do have more opportunities with our customers.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?

Not that I can think of because they were always on time. In any of these projects, the key to it is a quick response to our requirements, and they were very good with that. We felt we always had their attention and that was key.

This is the worst company you could possibly deal with.

If the company had a different owner, it would be a lot better.
