Blyp is building the next generation virtual data analyst for e-commerce business. As the CTO and first employee I to both build the product and gather the team to build this challenging product. Our infrastructure is mostly in AWS and we are using some of the best practice modern data stack.

Our project include multiple trust building steps, and Quema excelled in each part of it. Initially we just wanted very quick a dirty fixes to our major pains. Due to the way we initially set up our AWS cloud infrastructure (we did a lot of manual and ignorant work) Some components either did not communicate well (network issues), or were not protected well behind the cloud.

After an interview and some zoom time, Quema OU quickly figured out our issues and delivered accurate and professional solutions to our tactical problems. We then moved to a much larger scope project- setting up our infrastructure as a code staging & production environment. Quema helped in creating multiple step project with goals and timeframe and delivered everything we wanted and more in a timely, transparent and documented way.

We posted the project and looked for different consultants and agencies. After interviewing a couple of different prospects we decided on Quema. The reason was that they were quite frankly and in the most positive sense, nerds that enjoyed what they were doing. We also focused on the fact that devops was exactly what they were doing, nothing more nothing less. It was this focus on infrastructure management that was the deciding factor. They also appeared like really good and nice guys, which subsequent experience has only confirmed. Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Now we have ful CI/CD and monitoring on test and production end to end. If something happens many problems in the infrastructure will be handled automatically. We can change configurations dynamically without manual deployments of anything. This also goes for external services.

The coordination has ben extremely good. All based on an agreed upon format and very good communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

That they really know what they are doing and take full responsibility both reactively and proactively. They are essentially now the back bone of our IT operations. We trust them the same as an internal IT function and they have become that for us. Even after the war started there was not a single minute we felt that they did not have our back, which is sort of ironic.
