I’m the independent founder of a platform for yoga students to meets students for classes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quasar.?

We needed a development team to create our platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created our video interface platform from scratch. It was quite complex. They incorporated an API to Twilio and sped up some server time with DigitalOcean and AWS. The team also did some design work on the front-and backend.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 3–4 people from their team, including a head developer and a backend developer. Later, another front-and backend developer joined too,

How did you come to work with Quasar.?

I started recruiting development teams on Upwork, which was difficult to find quality developers without a proper HR department. Then, I started using JobRack instead. We went through 3–4 teams before Quasar.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019, and we finished the main platform in December 2020. We’re still in close contact and they still help us out to fix bugs.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We worked with a list of functional requirements and they managed to satisfy everything on that list. They were the first team that was able to get the job done for a very reasonable price.

How did Quasar. perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great with communication, brainstorming, and collaborative thinking. They even suggested their own features. We started communicating on Skype and switched to Trello, Jira, and Slack. It was all really good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The communication was impressive. When we started the project, I couldn’t know how they were doing until we ticked off a list of requirements. They put in the effort to go the extra mile and think of new features.

Sometimes, the extra work they did wasn’t charged completely by the hour. They focused more on the impact of the project and less on the invoices and payments. They’re a very loyal team to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We never went into mobile app development. We talked about it and they mentioned that their experience with mobile app development was limited. If they could improve that service, I’d love to work with them on an app in the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re an attachment of our team. It helps if you’re passionate and ambitious about what you want to achieve. They love to help people bring their dreams to life.

I’m the executive director of the Macedonian Textile Trade Association. We’re a non-government organization with around 80 members that are textile production companies.

Our main activities are divided into a couple of fields, including export promotion and matchmaking activities, lobbying and advocacy with the government institutions, training and capacity building of companies and their employees, and project participation in different projects in favor of our members.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quasar.?

We were running a couple of projects from different support organizations. We had some European and cross-border projects, so we had to develop a brand-new webpage.

We engaged Quasar. to develop this webpage for us from scratch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them for two different projects. We initially had a couple of training sessions so we could administrate the webpage.

Even though we’re trained to administrate the webpage, we can’t do anything further than that. We receive support from Quasar. when it comes to developing our ideas for improving the webpage.

After the webpage, we engaged with them in another activity to redesign our main association webpage and to improve and transfer the company database from the old one to a new one with improved search possibilities.

What is the team composition?

I am mostly in contact with one person who is dedicated to the project. There are another two people that are also involved in the development and maintenance.

They divide the activities for the webpage into different levels.

How did you come to work with Quasar.?

We found out about them through some colleagues that we cooperate with. We had a meeting with them and saw that they have a team of young enthusiastic people that can understand what we’re requesting and also can implement some innovations, and a modern look to the webpage.

They also had a competitive price. They came up with some ideas that we hadn’t thought of before, which was why we engaged with them.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s around €6,000 (approximately $7,300 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2019, and we’re still cooperating on this project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We follow the traffic on the site. According to the last analysis, we have approximately 3,000 users, and I think there are over 6,000 page views. We’re very surprised.

For our project, it was important because our target was much lower than we have actually had with this webpage. We were very happy to find out through the analytics that the site has been visited a lot.

Recently, we added a learning platform to the webpage with the support of them. Whenever we need to improve the webpage with information, they’re always available.

How did Quasar. perform from a project management standpoint?

All deadlines were met on time. When we have new activities happening on the webpage, we have daily communication with them.

The communication is really good. Whenever we need to get in touch with them, and sometimes it is in the afternoon if something urgent needs to be done, they’re open to the cooperation that we have. We have excellent communication with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For the other webpages I mentioned, we have our basic webpage that was upgraded. With the previous company we worked with, communication wasn’t on an appropriate level, and we suffered from late fulfillment of our requests. It was a bigger IT company, and I don’t think they were paying enough attention to communicate with us and work on our requests.

Therefore, when we started our new webpage with Quasar., we saw how good the communication is, how responsible they are as well as the fact that they deliver our requests on time. Our cooperation with them will continue.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really can’t think of anything. I’m very satisfied with their company. I can’t say there is anything that is not as I expected.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They have an innovative approach with their own suggestions about the development of webpages, and they go deeper into the industry to understand how the webpage should look and what it should offer.

Their team built a great database of our members, so it was easy to search by different products or places. They’re very communicative, replying to our requests immediately.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quasar.mk?

Everything is done through the internet now, so I wanted to create a website to establish myself worldwide.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The site is an online showcase of my work. I went to Quasar for design and development, along with consulting. They designed my branding — including a logo and print materials — and now provide website maintenance. I will add online shopping, project management, and consulting functionalities in the future. Quasar has done everything perfectly and professionally so far.

What is the team composition?

I met Bojan (Co-Founder, Frontend Developer, and Designer) and one other member in-person at the beginning of the project.

How did you come to work with Quasar.mk?

I was looking for web design and development companies online, and, probably because we’re from the same country, Quasar popped up among the first results. I liked the look of their site, which has a small spaceship floating around. I liked the idea and wanted to do something similar with my site. They were also really easygoing and fast to reply. I didn’t have to wait.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost around $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Quasar in August 2020, and the website launched in September of that year. The project lasted 4–5 weeks. I plan on going back to them to update the site.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I expected less, but, in the end, I received more. I’m sure I made the right choice, as I have a website that functions well. I’ve had some bad experiences with companies in the past, but I have only the best thoughts for Quasar — I rate them 15 out of 10. They’re super professional, and I’d definitely refer them to my colleagues. The price was good; I wouldn’t add or remove anything from what they did. I’ll certainly go back to them for future projects myself as well — either for my own website or other ones.

How did Quasar.mk perform from a project management standpoint?

I was really satisfied with the timeline. I thought it would take a lot more time, but Quasar delivered quickly and with better quality than I expected. The management was amazing, too. They called and consulted with me for every single update and sent me samples.

We used almost every method of communication: in-person meetings, phone calls, email, Viber, WhatsApp, and GoToMeeting. We worked remotely during COVID.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their modern design is one thing I was amazed by. I love the minimalistic, black-and-white look they gave my logo, and so do my clients. Quasar hit the bullseye.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing at all. They were flawless in every aspect of the work.
