For what projects/services did your company hire Product Mind?

We hired Product Mind to design and develop our app ProCon.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed the interactive MVP prototype of the app ASAP and we got it within 30 days just as promised! We are now done with raising funds for the development and ready for phase 2 with Product Mind.

How did you select this vendor?

We looked into several developers and got very different timelines and prices from all of them. Product Mind was the least selling and more transparent with describing their process.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we signed the agreement, we had the initial 5-hour meeting with the team where the idea was broken down into first wireframes and requirements. Every week we had a 1 hour call with the team to review the wireframes. 2 weeks after, we had a first round of designs of the app and two more review calls after that. Overall we had at least 1 meeting per week with the team during this 4 week process and ended up with 2 interactive prototypes on our phones and documentation for the development.

What was the team composition?

We met Maria, the founder who was personally handling our project and was our point of contact. On our calls we had a product designer, a graphic designer, and a technical project manager. We haven't met the engineers that will be working on the app development, but the lead developer was on our kick-off call. I believe there are also QA specialists and marketing people but I didn't feel the need of meeting them personally.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 30 days everything that was promised was delivered. We were able to pitch our app idea to our investors and we have already secured a first round of funding! We are very impressed with the results. The app looks gorgeous!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The entire process felt very welcoming and transparent. We had lots of questions and wanted to make sure our vision was followed by the team. Several lines of communication were always open and that made a great difference. We had at least 1 call every week to review the progress. We felt like we were part of the team while collaborating on our app.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed by Maria's patience and willingness to share knowledge without trying to upsell us on anything. I learned a lot about technology and apps. We had no idea about the science that goes into creating user experience that's easy to follow. Joseph created stunning wireframes. They were good enough to work as the final design of the app. And then we were blown away by the design choices the Product Mind's designers showed us. It was not easy to pick one! Nothing beats playing with the app on my phone right now and showing it to our first clients. It was just an idea and now I can show it to anybody.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have nothing to complain about! I've heard horror stories about mobile app developers before and was really apprehensive about finding the right company. I guess I lucked out! I wish Product Mind every bit of success they deserve. I'll definitely refer more people.
