I met via zoom with Mehul of Prime Apps before starting the project and he impressed me from the beginnning. I chose my theme from shopify and detailed the changes I required and all the minute details I required to be completed.

What was the team composition?

Mehul from Prime Apps was the team manager and my only point of contact which was brilliant. We talked on zoom numerous times and messaged each other throughout the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project of building my shopify store was seamless, I always felt fully supported and Mehul was very efficient and always extremely willing to help and really lovely to work with. Any changes that had to be made were done promptly and expertly. He was a very calm and supportive person to work with which I appreciated enormously, as well as being a total professional and expert in his field.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As explained above their workflow was seamless and easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their expert knowlege, their communication, their reliability, their professionalism. I cannot think of any area that I was not happy with, and they continue to be very supportive and extremely helpful whenever I require help on any matter.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that I can think of.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the technical services director of Expert Answer Ltd. We provide online legal advice to the general public; their questions are answered by a panel of legal professionals. We have 120 legal professionals registered to the platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prime Apps?

We had a different developer who began working on the platform but stopped. Essentially, we needed a company to pick it up and finish the development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prime Apps mostly built everything from scratch but did keep the codes from the previous developer. Their team developed the solution on a Legacy platform, which was new to them, so they built a work-around and finished the development work. The platform does a lot of calculations, such as payments to the government and experts. It also does a lot of reporting.

There’s a benchmark tool used to see how questions are being answered against certain criteria. Also, there’s a function that has the capability to see all the experts and if they’ve answered user questions. Prime Apps also created an affiliate program to log in with affiliate numbers, see who has been paid, print out reports, and much more.

How did you come to work with Prime Apps?

We posted our project on Upwork (before it was called that) for a company to help us put together a Facebook quiz that tested people’s general legal knowledge. Prime Apps answered, and when we worked with them on that they delivered ahead of schedule and under budget. We were impressed and have continued to work with them since.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between £30,000–£35,000 (approximately $38,000–$43,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2012, and it’s an ongoing engagement.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Prime Apps has a very stringent quality control process that they won’t compromise on. The site runs smoothly and quickly and was delivered ahead of schedule. It adheres to Google guidelines; also, they made sure we were at the forefront when guidelines were changed a couple of years ago. They’ve exceeded our expectations at every turn and have become an integral part of what we do. I can’t imagine working with anyone else.

How did Prime Apps perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re brilliant and communicate well. When there’s a delay, they let us know and work quickly to resolve it. I don’t have to worry if things will get done, I’m confident in their diligent efforts to deliver on time. They’re responsive, even beyond regular business hours. Their team suggested Trello, but it wasn’t for me, so we communicate via Skype, video chat, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re amiable, work quickly, and have a great price point. Prime Apps really understands what we do and how we work. They’ve become somewhat of a sounding board for our ideas. One thing I love about them is that they aren’t afraid to give honest feedback. Their team explains why certain things won’t work or aren’t worth the added cost and time. I appreciate their honesty.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ll be the first to admit they aren’t designers. I think it'd benefit them to bring on in-house designers to save time and money for themselves, as well as be able to control that side of things.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as detailed as you can and supply images to support your vision. They communicate effectively and speak English very well.

What were your goals for this project?

The website was set up on WordPress and it was extremely slow and we didn't follow any good practices for setting it up. The goal of the project was to improve the page load times by optimizing the website and the assets.

The GTMetrix score of our website was around 60 earlier, it jumped to 80+ after the optimization task

We had 1 point of contact (Mr Mehul) and he was very responsive and the communication was very smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their focus on customer satisfaction and willingness to provide honest dedicated service was impressive.
