I’m the COO of The Art of Accomplishment, an online education company for personal and professional development.

What challenge were you trying to address with PragmaFlow, Inc?

We needed someone to help us with web development and consulting to ensure we had automated processes that created a seamless experience for our participants. When these participants signed up for a course, we wanted them to get all the necessary information they wanted, be slotted into the appropriate areas in our communication tools, and get access to the different platforms they would need to connect with our community and get all their course materials easily.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PragmaFlow has helped us build a lot of custom features for our platform. For example, we have a course where people get matched with partners, and part of the process for these users is to put their availability. Thus, PargmaFlow helped us build that availability feature, along with other automated processes within the platform. Part of their work has involved WordPress, but I’m unaware of the rest of the technologies used.

Moving forward, PragmaFlow will work with us to help us create actual software pieces for processes they’ve helped us design. Moreover, we’ll keep working with them for website consulting.

What is the team composition?

At any given moment, there have been around 10–20 people working on the project from both their team and ours.

How did you come to work with PragmaFlow, Inc?

One of the people from PragmaFlow took one of our courses. As we worked through the course together, we found out what PragmaFlow did. We were in need of their services, so we reached out to them and assign them a small project to see if they were a good match for us. Quickly after that, we realized that they were the company we wanted to work with long-term and on bigger projects.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $70,000–$75,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with PragmaFlow since late 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measure success in our partnerships by looking at the ease partners bring to our lives and operations, and PragmaFlow is incredibly easy to work with. While not every project has resulted in success, PragmaFlow has definitely followed every project through to completion.

We’ve even asked PragmaFlow to design some things that we knew were a stretch, and they’ve always been ready and willing to take those projects as far as we want them to. Unfortunately, some projects have been a waste of money, but we’ve been successful at completing them.

How did PragmaFlow, Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

PragmaFlow meets our deadlines and stays within budget. We use Slack to communicate and have weekly meetings over Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

PragmaFlow’s responsiveness and attention to detail make them stand out from their competitors, and they’ve been a great steward of everything we’ve done. When working with other developers, I need to ask the right questions to get an answer. However, PragmaFlow oftentimes gets a good idea of what we want and comes back with alternative solutions.

Moreover, PragmaFlow has a lovely way of taking cold and clinical concepts and seeing our human needs behind them. Whenever they think something isn’t possible, they come up with other solutions, whereas other companies simply refuse to do it. In addition to that, I’ve always felt a high level of trust when working with PragmaFlow. After a few iterations with them, I didn’t feel the need to micromanage them anymore.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything PragmaFlow could improve on. They’re very resourceful, communicative, warm, and easy to get along with.

Be really open with them about any questions that you have.

I am the co-founder and CTO of a fintech company that provides on-demand financial coaching.

For what projects/services did your company hire PragmaFlow, Inc, and what were your goals?

We wanted to add some custom features to our current mobile app and PragmaFlow was able to develop and test them out. As well as starting to develop a full native code build.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for app developers within the software we were using and came across a few. After interviewing PragmaFlow and seeing their work history and extensive community involvement we knew they were the perfect fit.

We had a handful of discovery meetings to help determine the scope and direction of the project. After getting aligned we worked together to help integrate their team into all of our technologies and pass along some wireframes and designs to help start the process. Then their team was able to develop some of the requested features as well as test them out on their side which helped us tremendously.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with about four members of the Pragmaflow team. Our main point of contact was with the project manager and senior developer. However, we spoke and interacted with an additional senior developer, junior developer, and product tester.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After starting working with PragmaFlow, we were able to acquire several hundred users following our public launch date. We also were able to get a solid rating in the app store as well as receive positive feedback on the flow and design of the app.

They are incredibly great at communicating and keeping us up to date on the progress and development of our requests. We have two meetings weekly to go over development items and timelines as well as speak via Slack and email in between.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What was most impressive with their team was the communication and organization of the progress. PragmaFlow has a great streamlined development flow and is exceptionally fluent in the quality of their production.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I would have done differently is be included on the Kanban board earlier on to have some better visibility. As well as receive notifications sooner on about the status of our retainer.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder and COO of a startup that just pivoted to the corporate events business. Our goal is to digitalize most of the B2B client's journey when hiring corporate events.

For what projects/services did your company hire PragmaFlow, Inc?

At first we hired them as technical support for low code application. As we worked more with them my cofounder and I realized they were much more competent and capable of helping us in much higher-scale projects than our technical internal team and other professionals we've worked with.

So we concentrated our development with them and shortly after decided to pivot. Mitch was crucial in helping us thing through the new business model and helped us enormously. PragmaFlow's input was so valuable that we invited them to lead our tech front entirely and we're very pleased with their support in both the business strategy and the technical fronts.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I wanted someone who could understand the volatile environment of a startup and the fact that we need fast and imperfect solutions to test our hypothesis. Moreover, I always wanted to have a solid background to be a second opinion in terms of technology and potentially take over.

Since my first meeting with Mitch he showed me how equipped he is to face difficult challenges and how much PragmaFlow's structure supports him in being not only better but more efficient.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

At first we developed a multi-sided app in Adalo. They didn't help me choose the platform because that decision was already made but they helped me deliberate on changing the solution entirely. They did some really good research and showed me features, programs, possibilities, and recommendations.

Then, as we pivoted, they were included since the beginning and brought some valuable frameworks and resources to help us think through the pain and shape the MVP. Now we're developing the MVP and to be sure we're being as tech-light as possible, they went deep into research once again.

I love the way they show me everything and walk me through their rationale - even though nowadays I don't want to get into the technical details because I trust them entirely.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had a technical lead as a cofounder, a UX designer, someone developing, and since PragmaFlow joined us we "audit" their work with technical and non-technical founders in our network. Everyone is impressed by their effectiveness and how they play their (growing) role with us. This helped build our confidence in them.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have a fully operational first app that we're no longer commercializing (browsing multiple connected databases, booking with many specificities, paying, among other features). And now we have a robust strategy documented on how we approach our new business model and they started our MVP. They were quick in building the background of what will become our platform and we're developing that.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Fantastic! Mitch is really good in managing expectations and I trust him entirely to lead people working for me. We have weekly calls setup but speak regularly using whatsapp. Also, they setup a notion folder where we can see details of what's hapenning.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Wow, there's so much here. To begin with, I thought I was hiring a developer and I got a CTO! Another highlight is the fact that they are actual partners to us, they care not only about our product, our success, and our clients, they invest in the relationship with us! They behave as much more than a contractor, I feel like they're part of my team and that Mitch is my co-founder.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could push us harder to fulfill our deadlines and stop being their bottleneck haha Jokes aside, they're really good at getting feedback and we could always easily solve problems.

WeighPack develops and manufactures primary packaging solutions for various industries, notably food. As the VP of Operations, I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of our sales, post-delivery support as well as development of new products.

We needed a senior level architect to design and execute embedded solutions for our equipment to reduce manufacturing costs while modernizing the user experience and intelligence of our products.

I've had a working relationship with Steven for almost 20 years and trust his capabilities and commitment completely.

We mostly use Pragmaflow for architecture and senior level troubleshooting considering that we have in-house automation engineers. When we are overloaded Pragmaflow can contribute a handful of extra programmers as needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

My general feedback is that Pragmaflow can really help add value to your needs request versus just a for hire programming house. They will make your product better and more affordable to produce, which is all you can ask from a partner.

Certainly they push for a more agile approach whereas in hardware we prefer a more traditional approach to development and commercializing our products. They adapt to our needs and we push each other for excellence.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Troubleshooting and problem solving.

They are very committed to the product itself which in itself is great but sometimes you may want to keep them focused on your expected output.

I am the founder of Many Seeds, a fundraising app/advertising platform.

For what projects/services did your company hire PragmaFlow, Inc, and what were your goals?

PragmaFlow was hired to build from scratch an app and accompanying web system that would allow users to download the app, pick their favourite charities and watch daily ads to raise money for those charities.

How did you select PragmaFlow, Inc, and what were the deciding factors?

PragmaFlow was selected because I knew the capability of their programming staff and because of their commitment to working with startups and not-for-profit organizations. This project encompasses both.

I provided a scope of work describing the system and it's features and wireframes for what the app would look like. They had ongoing collaborative meetings with us all through the development and testing stages.

They took feedback on board and delivered revisions that we were looking for along with great suggestions to improve the product.

How many resources from the PragmaFlow, Inc team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Initially I had meetings with one of the partners and then the lead programmer/project manager on an ongoing basis.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They have delivered an excellent product. The system functions smoothly and has a great user experience. They have led Many Seeds through the entire process and the feedback we have received on the system has been consistently excellent.

We had weekly video calls on Zoom and open communications as needed through Slack or email if required. They consistently delivered on timelines for system components. They were very open to feedback took the time to understand what the objectives are.

They also made plenty of good suggestions based on their expertise. All in all it was a smooth, positive and enjoyable experience.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Many companies make claims and don't live up to them. PragmaFlow lived up to every bit of their claim to work with startups and not-for-profits. They are highly skilled and able to take an idea and make it a reality with user-friendly and professional quality.

Every part of the experience was great and the product produced was exactly what was hoped for.
