We had a ransomware attack in October of 2019 and hired Phoenix in April of 2020. The first goal was to work with a company we had an agreement with for our security. They did that and then moved security under their managed services.

The second thing was to begin to manage our devices, begin a replacement cycle program and help us as we grow as a municipality and a City to handle issues that come up.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The security that has been implemented on our devices has kept our system from being attacked again, although there have been many attempts.

All of our devices are now on a replacement cycle, and all new updates and needs are managed within our budget and planned for with great communication and transparency.

They delivered all items on time, and if waiting for a response from us, they follow up rather than letting needed decisions and/or updates hang out there until there is an emergency.

They are extremely proactive and let us know if there is a program or software that is going away and what needs to be done to keep us up and running.

They have a ticketing system and respond in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness and ability to listen to our unique needs and meet us where we need to be with their products and service. We have monthly scheduled meetings to address concerns of the previous month if there were any, and upcoming needs and projects. 

They are also very personable and make sure we truly understand the issues and concerns without being condescending if we don't understand something the first time. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Phoenix Technology Group could have done differently?

None that I can think of at the moment, and if we have communicated a concern they have addressed it and we have worked together to resolve it.
