Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We brought Phionike on to help improve the UI/UX experience of our mobile application. The application was focused driving content driven commerce for rural users in India. Key deliverables included collaborating with our UXR team to uncover key user insights, evaluating feedback and translating that it into improved UI/UX.

Phionike worked to identify and drive key areas of improvement in our design and user experience through research, iteration and implementation, helping to streghthen the link between the content and commerce experience for users. In addition, they helped define and document a design system for internal use.

Phionike was always responsive, diligent and delivered on-time. They communicated effectively through the virtual meeting schedule, weekly stand-ups and team channels. This ensured that any issues or blockers were always raised early and expectations managed.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I was the ideator and the main operator of the project. This was a JV between two companies orchrestrated by me, leading to a requirement for designs.

For what projects/services did your company hire Phionike Design-Tech Studio?

We had a requirement for production scheduling, arising from our company's need. We worked with them, as hiring and onboarding design UIUX talent was not core to us.

How did you select this vendor?

Me and Roopam met at a WeWork meetup and clicked with similar business thoughts. I shared my requirements with him for my project and he reverted to me on the same in a detailed way.

Our projects centred around the development of our dashboard and managing various inventory. These are the products of our company, but Phionike Design Studio has been designing for us for the last 3 years. We conducted Design Thinking workshops etc. before we started working on the user and technology.

The UI design work was done in Figma. We went through initial brainstorms and discussions about the business, profiling users, choosing looks from other apps which we liked, and then started working on progressively more refined versions of the App and Dashboard, always on Figma.

Phionike made sure they kept design consistent and made various design states for the application. Phionike has conducted UX Research Interviews with the current set of clients to understand the pain points and accordingly provide design insights for the improvement in the current setup.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Phionike Design-Tech Studio’s work was great in bringing the Design Standardization across our product. They helped in ideation of business models too , with innovative processes like Lean UX Processes. They demonstrated exceptional quality and consistency throughout. We have continued working on top of Phionike’s work (and the fact it was so easy to do so is a good testament to their ability to integrate seamlessly in a new team).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Good. We use Slack and Email for general project management, and Figma for technical (Design, developer handoffs etc) communication. Phionike also did daily design standups when it was required at the crucial stages of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their focus on designing for users was on doing UX research and maintaining the product's usability in mind while balancing the business goal in tandem. They have a solid awareness of how development scenarios function, which allows them to design better, and they are always coming up with fresh ideas to introduce new breakthroughs in a product through design.

I am the Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer, Brandintellé Services Pvt Ltd, a hyper automated platform to decrease marketing inefficiencies. He primarily leads a full-stack tech team along with the customer success team for both the key offerings, Brandintellé and dataintellé.

We noticed lack of design consistency and our user's had requested upgrade in the product that we have. We hired Phionike overall to make design systems and bring better usability to the platform.

Me and Roopam had worked together at Accenture and we had already connected over Linkedin. I had shared a requirement for UI/UX designing and he reverted back on that.

1. Our projects centred around the development of our dashboard and mobile app. These are the products of Brandintelle and Mediaware, but Phionike Design Studio has been designing for us for the last 3 years. We conducted Design Thinking workshops etc. before we started working on the user and technology. The bulk of the work was carried out in Figma. We went through initial brainstorms and discussions about the business, profiling users, choosing looks from other apps which we liked, and then started working on progressively more refined versions of the App and Dashboard, always on Figma.
2. Our project centred around making Design systems to bring the design standardization throughout the organization of Brandintelle and Mediaware products.
3. Phionike has conducted UX Research Interviews with the current set of clients to understand the pain points and accordingly provide design insights for the improvement in the current setup.

Phionike Design-Tech Studio’s work was great in bringing the Design Standardization across the organization product. Having someone external looking at our business model with a fresh pair of eyes, challenged us to think far beyond what we had already envisioned, and really centre our product around the UX.

They demonstrated exceptional quality and consistency throughout. We have continued working on top of Phionike’s work (and the fact it was so easy to do so is a good testament to their ability to integrate seamlessly in a new team). Now for 3+ years we have been working with Phionike and we will continue to deepen our collaboration.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Good. We use Slack and Email for general project management, and Figma for technical (Design, developer handoffs etc) communication. Phionike also does progressive design reviews with Brandintelle 2-3 times a week. So that made product communication smooth and moving forward accordingly. Progress, deadlines and budget were scrupulously kept in order and communicated by them.

They have a solid awareness of how development scenarios function, which allows them to design better, and they always come up with fresh ideas to introduce new breakthroughs in a product through design.

The actual user experience required further maturation to make sense from top to bottom and integrate with the remaining tech stack. But that was difficult to accommodate in our very limited time. We’re now engaging in deeper UX Research.
