I am a business developer for Pannelli, a company that specializes in Italian porcelain, and we work with several Italian partners.

We are manufacturing what we import from Italy. We do some work on it and provide a finer product as well as install flooring and cladding with our slats that we import from Italy. We do processing, we install, and we are agents of our Italian partners.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pharaoh Soft?

In the COVID-19 era, everything went online in just one month. My company wasn’t prepared for this, so we hired Pharaoh Soft to develop a website for us. We wanted to develop a website and online store in order to increase our sales as well as to make it more convenient for our customers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pharaoh Soft built the site from the ground up. They used WooCommerce and WordPress. They integrated a payment provider here in Egypt. They customized one or two extensions for my business that we couldn’t find out of the box, so they developed it by themselves.

The extension was for the calculation of the tiles and how many square meters and in order to get the cart total, it wasn’t just an easy quantity times the price. There was some thinking that had to be done, and they developed that for us.

What is the team composition?

I dealt with the project manager. He was the one who was communicating everything with the team. It was a simple communication, so it was easier for me which is how I like to work.

How did you come to work with Pharaoh Soft?

There were several factors. I interviewed a number of companies in order to understand how well they knew the technology they would be working with, and how knowledgeable they are. In Egypt, there are so many companies in this field, but not everyone is working on a scientific basis. They just have the experience, but I wanted to have someone I can talk to and who would actually answer me logically and scientifically if I have any problems.

Pharaoh Soft was recommended to us. I asked people who they had worked with and then I did my own research. They actually fit all these criteria, and this is one of the reasons I went with them as well as of course as the price as well.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent around $7,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2020. We are still working with them doing enhancements and adding things.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I have my CRM so I can check where my customers are coming from, how they know about us, and the info they receive. I do a questionnaire in our showroom, and a lot of them know the website and have gone through the prices. When customers come into the store, they already know the prices and everything. This actually saves a lot of time for my salespeople.

How did Pharaoh Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

We use email most of the time as well as phone calls of course if there is any clarification that needs to be done. I usually like to stick with email and to keep it official and document it as well. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with their fast execution. Whenever I send them any amendments, it is done extremely quickly which astonishes me. It is done, and it is done right. I have been very satisfied with Pharoah Soft’s quality of work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t faced any difficulty when it comes to communication or in development. I don’t recall anything that actually made my experience to not be the best. I

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very precise in your needs so that you get the job done easily and faster. When I started working with them, I told them every single detail I wanted. Everything was written and the smallest details I needed were given to them. That made the job easier. They already knew what I needed and created a site according to how I wanted my customers to feel on my website, so it was easier.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pharaoh Soft?

We were rebuilding our club management platform as a mobile app to facilitate accessing event and member data.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pharaoh Soft developed our web platform in WordPress Multisite. We specified React Native for the mobile app in order to build it in parallel for iOS and Android. We shared our requirements with Pharaoh Soft’s business analyst, who made some suggestions based on them. Then, we integrated those suggestions and worked together on the final products.

What is the team composition?

We are in constant touch with their project manager and communicate with other members for support. They also sent trainers to our site who conducted eight sessions with our members.

We found them through a reference. One of our members had worked with Pharaoh Soft at their company. We compared their offer with other companies and found Pharaoh Soft to be the best choice.

The project cost was $52,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Pharaoh Soft in early 2020. Our engagement is ongoing. We’ve called them recently for new requirements, and we’re going to be working with them again.

We’re happy with the final product and our members like the support offered by Pharaoh Soft.

How did Pharaoh Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve used Oneboard and Trello to monitor the progress of the project, and we send emails to their support address. They reply right away.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always deliver on time and provide good service.

No, there’s nothing I can mention.

I advise working with Pharaoh Soft’s business analyst and listening to their suggestions. They can oftentimes improve what the client was looking for.

I was looking for a partner to make my website that understood ancient Egypt and that had experience with the international market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They have worked with me a few times. They made my initial website, which was open source. They did the programming and design. They redid the website and added some features. For the most recent collaboration, they switched my website to WordPress. They are currently developing a mobile app that allows users to place wholesale orders.

I work with the project manager, who oversees the designers and programmers.

They were recommended by a friend that had worked with them. I visited their office, liked their work, and decided to hire them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They have met all of our requirements, including a satisfactory flow of traffic to the website. The feedback on the design has been quite positive. I’m satisfied with the work they have done for us.

They are professional and work in a timely fashion. Timelines are the most important thing in our business.
