PersiLab partnered with an IT solutions provider for the e-commerce market to build a mobile app for iOS that would allow its users to manage their personal transactions.

Aside from a few delays, PersiLab executed the project well, and the client is satisfied with the results. They are continuing to work together to build the Android version of the app.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the chief operations director of the company of a payment services provider. We offer a multi-acquiring functionality for payment cards in Russia, Europe, and worldwide.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with PersiLab?

We primarily offer a payment services website for customers, but there was also a need for controlling transactions through phones. We decided to develop a mobile app that would allow users to check payments, perform refunds, and manage their own customer subscriptions. We didn't have mobile app development capabilities in our company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, PersiLab developed our iOS app. We're currently working on an Android version.

How did you come to work with PersiLab?

We searched for a developer over the course of a few weeks. We contacted PersiLab through their form and chose them because of their portfolio and prices.

How much have you invested with PersiLab?

The cost of PersiLab's work has been $4,000 for the two phases of our project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with PersiLab in July 2016. The first version of our app was published in August and the second one in October. We have an ongoing relationship with PersiLab.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

It was a successful project. We are happy with the results.

How did PersiLab perform from a project management standpoint?

I oversaw the project. PersiLab used internal project management software for the work, but I didn't have access to it. I simply sent specifications and timelines to their team, and PersiLab planned the work on their end.

What did you find most impressive about PersiLab?

There wasn't anything in particular.

Are there any areas PersiLab could improve?

I can't think of anything.
