BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the general director of the Coding Bootcamp school in Chicago. We have a huge instructional team that teaches and does mentor to new programmers. We have an average of 100 students per batch.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Peaksoft?

Since we work with many current students and graduate students we needed a custom lightweight web-based application to manage the student enrollment process.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to automate the process of interested people in our school and engage with them efficiently. Doing this work manually took so much energy and didn't work out as proper as we expected. We wanted to have our own software that does the most manual works we did and hired Peaksoft to build software for us.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We wanted to have well designed and good quality software. However, we didn't want to spend a huge amount of money. Peaksoft's proposal gave us the perfect match.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

We got in contact with them. They are located in Chicago so we are. We went to their office and sat down to discuss the details. The reason their proposal was lower than the other is their development team is not located in the US.

What was the team composition?

They have around 15 people working. 3 are working from US and rest working from overseas. We were mainly dealing with the guys in Chicago. they were doing demo sessions for us and we didn't really have to deal with the development team. We were happy with the Demo and that was it.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were the ones who gave the requirements for the Software we wanted. Now, software working as expected and we are very happy about it.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project managers are in the US. So we were having the most access to him. We didn't face any challenges with requirement changes.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It went very smooth. We tried to work with Freelancers in the past. The problem of working with Freelancers is that you don't get to see them and they are not very reachable. We very much enjoyed working with Peaksoft, because they have an office in US and we were meeting in person.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overall we were very happy about their service. Now we are needing some changes in the software. We just contacted them and they said they are ready to do any maintenance.
