### Better Scientific Software
The BSSw.io scientific software team needed a professional-looking website with content managed via GitHub files. After looking at their use case and preferred workflow, we recommended that we create a custom Ruby on Rails app that integrated with GitHub’s API; we programmed a bespoke import process to translate the team’s Markdown files into an HTML site. After the site’s launch, we have continued to work with this team on maintenance and upgrades; we’ve been able to suggest solutions and build tools specifically tailored to the team’s needs (such as specialized processing for contributor names, content tags, and event dates).
