Please describe your company and your position there.

Evergreen Construction builds custom homes and develops land in Seaside Oregon. I am the owner and head of design/ construction. We have been building homes since 2005 under Houck Family Construction and switched names to Evergreen Construction in 2015.

For what projects/services did your company hire Oregon Web Solutions, and what were your goals?

We needed a website for people to see and find us who search in our area. We also needed the website to be found when we search our area online. We also need help with Google My Business.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I saw their past work and experience. They showed me a bunch of websites they built similar to what I was looking for. They also shared successful campaigns they have had and what they could do for us. The price was fair and well worth it.

Within the first couple weeks they had a draft website built for me to look over and make adjustments. Then they explained what they would be doing offsite to help improve ranking for terms like "Seaside Oregon contractor". Around the second month I started getting phone calls from the Google My Business listing and landed a $80,000 job because of it. I was so excited that I took them out for dinner as a thank you. After that, we would get calls every month to the point where I asked them to turn my listing off for a while as we were booked out. I paid around $10,000 for everything done and made that all back with a single job. Needless to say, I was more than happy.

I worked with 3 different people through the process (maybe 4 if you count the receptionist). Seth (president) helped with the website design and Matt worked on the search engine optimization portion of things and a little with the main designer as well.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As mentioned earlier, I landed an $80,000 remodel job as a result of the Google My Business listing being found. I paid $10,000 for everything done and made that back in generals fees on that remodel job. Everything since has been profit and I was booked out so far that I had them turn the listing off for a while.

It was very simple and pretty hands off which I like as I don't have a lot of time to deal with constant questions. The website was a little back and forth which is to be expected, but the search engine optimization was almost fully hands off and I would get a report at the end of each month as to what they had done and what the traffic and rankings were doing. Pretty simple and I was impressed how fast I started getting calls as I was under the impression that it might take up to 6 months for that to start happening.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The number of calls I was getting for jobs due to their efforts has been impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Upon the first website build, I would have liked an app for customers to log into and see how the project was going. That said, they were clear that they didn't have anything at that time to help me in that area., so that is just me being picky.

We needed a full redesign of our website and help getting found in Google search (SEO). We wanted a website that looked great, but was also fast and user friendly. We wanted to search for our Brand and find it right away. We also wanted to set this website up to get other key terms found online over time.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We did a Google search and noticed Oregon Web Solutions was one of the top online marketing companies in Portland, so we reached out and connected right away with Seth and the team. Seth was very knowledgeable about marketing, showed us other successful websites they had created and ranked online. He also wasn't pushy in any way, I appreciate that.

We gave them access to our hosting and domain. They had a first draft of the new website done within a week. We then spent a few weeks back and forth changing a few things here and there until it was where we wanted it. The site is faster than ever and gets a fair amount of traffic every month.

We also had them do a social foundation for us as well. They still host the website and take care of it/ update it when we ask them to and no extra charge, unless its a big change, then they charge us $50 and hour for anything time intensive.

Seth (owner) Geoffrey (designer), Alisa (social media), and Matt the SEO guy.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The site is fantastic. Runs faster, smother. We get traffic and leads from it still to this day and we really haven't put that much extra work into it honestly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Great. No issues to speak of.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How fast they can build amazing websites! Also, the knowledge of optimization and marketing (and what it really takes). They were very clear on cost and time and got as close as one can get to both.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Well, I would selfishly say I wish I was ranking even higher for more keywords, but they were clear on what to expect and held true to that.

The whole process was a disaster, and the website they built was embarrassing.

They lied to me via online videos, that was their communication style.

They had the ability to lie to their customers and were still able to sleep at night.

They should go out of business.
