They began by taking notes of the feel and words we would like to use, as well as some words we didn't. They then built the many different sections of the copy and we had a few rounds of meetings to ensure we were happy with the results. WE made lots of minor adjustments and Noah took the time to understand WHY we wanted to make edits, not just making them at will.

We have received feedback from our trusted Brand consultants that the copy fits originally on the page and will be a solid basis for the website for years to come.

Very effective, our meetings were to the point, Noah made sure we covered all areas. The team worked well together to ensure we had a copacetic experience with the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They didn't want to just give us what we thought we wanted, they pushed what we had given them to the brink in terms of wording and ideation. That allowed the CEO to be less uptight about the messaging and more in tune with the audiences that Omit is very much in tune with.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

We thoroughly enjoyed the process of using Omit. I wouldn't necessarily change the process at all.

I’m the manager of a fine jewelry company that has been in business for over 20 years. We design jewelry and then manufacture it, 90% in our Miami factory and 10% in our New York factory. We use all precious and semi-precious stones and 14-carat yellow gold or higher. We occasionally use white or rose gold, too. We use diamonds, sapphires and rubies, and lots of organic gemstones.

What challenge were you trying to address with Omit Studios?

A company offered to revamp our website, and they did a horrible job. They linked different services, and Google wasn’t reading our website. We paid a lot of money, and this company messed everything up. We called Omit Studios in crisis mode to help us figure out what was wrong with our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Omit Studios did a deep dive and research to determine what was happening with our Shopify website. They let us know about all the issues: some things weren’t happening that should have been, and vice versa. We’ve been working with the team on a multi-phased front to fix problems that the other company caused. They’ve also worked to elevate the website and its UX, SEO, and other aspects. 

They’ve advised us on strategies like blog posting, newsletters, email campaigns, and marketing. The project’s phase two has also involved design work. An internal team member provided them with a Photoshop design of what we wanted the site to look like, and Omit Studios gave us more options. We’re about to start phase three, which involves specific details we want Omit Studios to improve on our site.

We had used them in the past for help with our website and some SEO functions. Initially, a former teammate’s wife had used Omit Studios for a project she was working on and spoke so highly of them that we started working with them.

We started working with them around March 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our sales have increased thanks to Omit Studios' work, and our backlinks, Google search, and schema are all working. Now, when users search for relevant items, the results show them product pages from our site. The team has been holding our hand through the website changes and working collaboratively with us. They've done a really good job making suggestions about design and functionality. 

Omit Studios is very thorough and focuses on everything. They've helped us understand what's most important to start with and then have gone step by step to help us achieve our goals. We've had some bad experiences with developers in the past, and Omit Studios is incredible in comparison. I trust them fully to do a good job, to come up with good ideas, and to understand our needs and how they can help. Overall, I've had the best experience with them. 

How did Omit Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We have meetings about items we want to fix, or they come to us with a list that we prioritize. Then, they provide us with a timeframe and always deliver on time. As for communication, we use phone calls, Zoom, and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're really good at explaining exactly what they're doing in layman's terms. Since I'm not a tech person, I don't know the terminology, and Omit Studio does an incredible job of explaining everything in a way I can understand. That's hard to achieve because many developers don't do that. 

A friend of a friend had recommended the company that revamped our website, but they had outsourced developers working for them that did a lousy job. Meanwhile, Omit Studios is a team with various skill sets, all within the group. Since they don't outsource, they can check their work internally to ensure everything goes well. Moreover, everyone on their team is super kind and easy to work with. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they've done everything above and beyond perfect. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The best thing to do would be to come up with a list of items you want to see changed. Omit Studios can then make suggestions within those categories and provide other ideas of what can be done — that's a really good place to start.

They initially gave us a couple of different logo designs and color palettes. We worked through 3–4 revisions until we found something we were happy with. Also, they put together some samples for outside signage, but we didn’t end up doing it.

Everybody likes our marketing materials and business cards. We get a lot of compliments on their designs. Moreover, they stand behind their product from front to back. One time, one of the batches came in wrong, and they got me a whole new batch.

Development of a restaurant/hospitality logo, menu creation, and full 90+ page proposal in response to an RFP for a large concessions/catering contract. The proposal was a comprehensive magazine-style proposal that told the full story and capabilities of our client.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our clients have returned to us several times to help them develop proposals for major RFPs. They love our creative thinking and beautiful designs. They also love that everything is delivered on time and on-budget.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Omit almost always delivers on time. If they need more time, they reach out in advance and request a new deadline with a valid reason. I typically draft the schedule for the project and Omit will provide input. Omit creates a Google Drive with all the appropriate folders and the team uses this for the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Aside from a solid work ethic and reliability. Omit is very creative and always surprises us with interesting design recommendations. They are also pretty adaptable and offer up solid solutions when the client wants to take a different direction.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I like working with Omit to design brands and develop big ideas. I would like it if they were to translate some of the designs to basic everyday tools for our clients such as a Power Point template or Word Doc letterhead.

I’m the managing director of The Betsy Hotel, an independent hotel operated and owned by my family.

As we’re an independent hotel, we don’t have the positioning of the big hotel chains, so we needed to find a way to make people searching online select us. We brought in Omit Studios to help us think through how we connect with customers online and turn them into repeat guests.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Omit Studios provides us with graphic design, digital marketing, and branding services. They’ve helped us define everything, like the images we choose, the look and feel of how we represent our brand, and the digital strategies that we put in place for our website and meta-search. Overall, they’ve helped us think through the whole digital representation of our brand.

I initially brought them in to help us rework the look and feel of our email marketing, but they ultimately helped us think through everything we do digitally speaking, including our SEO and PPC strategies. They also helped us with photoshoots recently.

Omit Studios was working for another local organization, and we really liked their work. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It's hard to separate the impact of what Omit Studios does from what our other agencies do. Additionally, it was a really difficult year due to the pandemic, so it's hard to establish a baseline. We weren't open in July 2020 so the last month that we can compare to is July 2019. Our revenue has doubled since then, but I can't actually tell that it is all thanks to Omit Studios’ work.

How did Omit Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform really well. They‘re organized and thorough, and we benefit from people who bring structure. We communicate typically through emails, text messages, and phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aside from being smart and thoughtful, Omit Studios has a full-picture conversation about everything they do, and they’re very responsive and organized. They're always paying attention, and they're always available. They've been excellent.

Additionally, Omit Studios is really hands-on. They see it as their responsibility to help us take our brand and elevate every piece of its digital representation.

Are there any areas they could improve?

All of us can be better at what we do, and we're all learning all the time. We're always checking to see what works and what doesn't. Omit Studios is very flexible and open to learning what does actually works. We have an ongoing dialogue to figure it out, and they're actively interested in continuing that dialogue.

Any advice for potential customers?

Allow them to have a more expansive role. Sometimes, you want to keep your providers focused on your projects so that they don’t get distracted. However, Omit Studios has the impressive ability to take on multiple projects and attack all of them at the same time.

I’m the owner and one of the surgeons of Greenwich Plastic Surgery, a medical practice. We specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery. We have two clinics: one in New York, New York, and one in Greenwich, Connecticut.

What challenge were you trying to address with Omit Studios?

I needed to refresh my website. When I started my practice, the internet boom was just beginning. Websites came in the early 2000s, and I remember having a primitive one around that time, which was okay. I had a website made by another company in 2008. It had a lot of SEO content and nice colors, but it still needed a revamp.

The previous website wasn’t responsive. The screening changed from one browser to another, and it wasn’t mobile-friendly. I’d seen the development of the internet in the field. There is a lot more functionality on websites these days than there was in 2008.

I’m not a huge marketer, but having a good website was essential, especially in my line of work. My main goal was to have a redesign, after 13 years, so we could make the site easier for the user to navigate and contact us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Omit Studios did the complete website revamp. They managed the accessibility of the site, integrating email and patient inquiry forms and digitizing my office forms onto it. They made everything smoother and easier for the patients and for us. We’re now able to communicate back and forth with the patients easier. They worked on streamlining the website, making it attractive, functional, and really easy to use, especially for mobile devices.

They used Squarespace, and I think they used some templates. It wasn’t coded from the ground up, but it came out pretty nice — it’s night and day compared to the last website I had.

I found them through a friend of my family. Years ago, as I incorporated the two offices that we now have, I was looking for a graphic designer that could help me with the branding and logo for our practice. A friend of mine knew Noah from Miami.

I reached him and asked if he could help me. I’d seen his work before and noticed that he was doing really cool things for other companies. He did such a nice job with the logo that, when I was looking for the refresh of the site, I got in touch with him again.

We worked on the website from February–March 2021. We went back and forth a few times, but it was a pretty smooth process. It took 3–4 weeks to be completed. We’re still tweaking it a little here and there, but it’s live now. If I have any issues, I can just call Noah and I’m sure he’ll fix them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is pretty new and has just recently been launched, but I am pretty happy with the way it looks on all my devices. The website is very functional and easy to use. I don’t think it is the fanciest website that has ever been created, but it also wasn’t the biggest project. The site looks very professional now. We didn’t cut any corners, and we bought all the pictures for the site and the SSL certificates.

I was very surprised about how good the site came out, having used a template. I also asked my friend, who did the second site for me, to take a look at the new one. He was also impressed. Everyone’s feedback has been very positive so far.
Noah did a lot of the work for me because I’m always pretty busy — that was very helpful. As he’s a graphic designer, I didn’t think this would be up to his alley, but the results were great. 

How did Omit Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We spoke on the phone and had meetings through Google Meet so we could look through stock photos together. There was also a lot of text messaging and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The responsiveness and accessibility of the team were impressive. With the previous company I worked with, it was torture to get in touch with the developers. Even just needing to make a change took three weeks before they would get back to me. With Noah, everything was very fast. Usually, the changes were made within that day or the next day.

I was also impressed with the result, considering the time we put into it. I was looking for a revamp, and it was challenging to get it done during COVID-19 downtime. When the site went up, it was seamless, and I didn’t lose any functionality in terms of the website being down at any time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I would have them improve. I was pretty pleased overall, and I’m not sure how it could have been much better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

This was easy for me in a lot of ways because it wasn’t the first time I was working on my website. What I know about doing a project like this is that you have to get your objectives very clear. I told Noah that I wanted it to be mobile-friendly, short and sweet, and have one main navigation menu. I was very precise with what I wanted, which made it easier for him to get it completed and deliver exactly that. Good communication is fundamental.

I’m the COO of a global manufacturing company and I handle our day-to-day operations. We do custom metal parts manufacturing primarily focused on agriculture and automotive. Sometimes, we deal with a small flange for automotive or a 100-pound casting for water desalination.

We hired Omit Studios for a couple of things, primarily to have a new web presence for our website. It was important for us to have a new web design and cohesive branding, and that’s something people in our business don’t do.

We came up with what we thought we needed a solution for, and they provided us with the information of things we needed to implement. Omit Studios has made a lot of suggestions and improvements of what we need to accomplish. 

For our WordPress platform, they are creating a new design and our main request is for it to be responsive. I don’t have a lot of technical details, but most of our conversations have been design-oriented. 

The team also ensures the even the simplest things like our signature is matched with our website fonts when we send out newsletters, so they help us improve our newsletter campaign presence. We probably didn’t even know how important it was, but we wanted to establish and build a strong brand.

So far, Omit Studios’ design is stellar, and we have a cool website and our message is clear. We’re doing it better than our competitors, and our website is definitely going to make a difference once it launches. The team is still developing our site, but we’re hoping to get towards production and launch end of the month beginning next year. 

How did Omit Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We have one main point of contact, so communicating with them has been easy. We also appreciate using Jira and Asana to keep things organized, especially since it’s so easy to get lost when there are so many things happening.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Omit Studios is very detailed and they pay attention to even the smallest things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything comes on time, and we’re getting what we expect to receive. I don’t want to say it’s perfect, but we’ve been happy with their work.

Instilling trust is helpful, but it’s a two-way thing. While we’ve been getting what we expect, we also pay back the same courtesy to them. That means answering emails and appreciating their work. Overall, we let them handle the technical stuff and in return, we remain responsive to them.

I am the founder and executive director of O, Miami, a non-profit organization that builds community through literature in Miami, FL. We produce a month-long poetry festival every April with the goal of every single person in Miami encountering a poem. We also have an education program, a publishing program, and a series of community-focused literary awards.

We've worked with Omit Studios on a regular basis since 2016. Our biggest project is our annual poetry festival, for which Omit produced an overall identity, flyers, collateral, video titles, etc. Basically, the entire range of what a festival might need, plus project-based jobs like designing gas pump handles that had poems on them; original zines; and outdoor murals.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were primarily programmatic (i.e., artistic impact) but measured through the larger, much more tangible goal of every single person in Miami encountering a poem in the span of one month.

To that end, we "place" poems into existing infrastructures, which is a very design-heavy lift. Omit has been, for the last five years, our principal partner in creating these "poetic interventions" into everyday life. Our work has been covered by The New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian (UK), Time, USA Today, and many others.

SOLUTION

How did you select Omit Studios?

We saw a menu that Omit had designed for a local restaurant and bar we like, and it had exactly the tone we were looking for. We work with vendors in a very organic way. We're a small staff of four. I'm the final decision-maker, but we discuss everything we do. For new vendors,

we only meet with them once they've done something we feel is up to our level. Then, if the meeting goes well, we start small with one project and grow the partnership appropriately. From day one, Omit has always delivered beyond our expectations.

There's not enough space. Our poetry festival is a month-long, consisting of, on average, 42 projects and 31 events taking place in 79 out of the total 80 Miami zip codes. Every single one of these events/projects needs collateral and often, product design. Omit was responsible for roughly 85% of that work.

We collaborated fully on every single item, but we also give Omit as much license as possible to create something that excites them as well. We don't believe in a top-down, heavily directed process. Omit thrives when you allow them to express themselves, and we believe that Omit thriving means we're thriving.

Historically, we've interfaced just with the firm's principal member.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the time that we've been working with Omit, our annual budget has almost doubled, a reflection of new grant funders, new donors, and increased earned revenue. We do not believe this growth would have been possible without Omit's design work, which appeals to so many people and truly captures the spirit of our programming.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We use Asana to manage our workflow with Omit, and it has always worked very well. They respond in a timely manner, and we can always see exactly what projects are in the works; when they're due; and what's been done so far. Omit is easily the most communicative and responsive design firm we've worked with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Beside their high level of professionalism, which I don't want to underestimate, I think what I appreciate most about Omit is how their work merges what we might call "high-end design" with mass appeal. A lot of hip design is very cold, and a lot of popular design is very sloppy. Omit manages to make elegant designs that feel rooted to the lives of everyday people.

No. We've never had a significant issue with Omit.

I am the CFO of a watch strap company. We manufacture and sell watch straps for high-end swiss watches.

The project required us to map our SKUs out to different watch brands and models. It required a comprehensive effort in ensuring that all of the watch brand and models were graphically represented, encompassing over 400 SKUs on our site. Omit Studios designed a well-thought out lookbook that made sense to present to our prospective retailers.

Over the last 5 months since Omit Studios designed and printed our physical lookbooks, we've noted larger increases in our B2B revenue than what can be accounted for by seasonality. It's clearly helped our Sales team convert prospective clients into buyers.
