Working with Nuance has allowed us to hand off the technical aspects of building out a custom platform for our customers and focus on what our customers need. The team is very responsive and understands what we're looking for. They're always looking to provide the best solution and discuss our options with us. In the end, they have our best interest in mind, and that gives me peace of mind. It's awesome to be able to focus my energy on being the visionary and imagining solutions for my customers, and then let Nuance take care of the implementation. Whether it's backend infrastructure or front-facing customer products, I recommend working with Nuance if you want your systems to run smoothly and efficiently but don't want to get into the weeds yourself.

I'm a product manager at Grassi Services, an HVAC and refrigeration sales and service organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nuance.dev?

We needed help taking an out-of-the-box project management system and pulling all the data to create usable information via dashboards that didn't exist inside the PMS.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use Jobber for project management, but Jobber offers virtually no visibility into how the business is actually doing. There isn't an easy way to get the data, and you can only get a fraction of it. So we started out building Google Sheet "dashboards" from what we could get from Jobber downloads until we approached Giovanni and Nuance. Nuance.dev has built a PostgreSQL database and helped us create dashboards. The team also takes care of errors to ensure data flows smoothly. The team is responsible for weekly data refreshes and real-time updates.

We started working with Nuance.dev in June, 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Nuance.dev's work has given us real-time visibility into the organization's financials and the ability for our owners to see and know what's going on inside the business. We've also noticed time saved, error reduction, and increased efficiency after implementing the dashboards and database solutions. For example, we've saved around 10 hours per week and significantly reduced errors because all the data is live.

How did Nuance.dev perform from a project management standpoint?

Nuance.dev is always extremely reachable and responsive. The team delivers on time and quickly. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Giovanni is able to communicate clearly and succinctly to me, a non-technical person, to help me make sense of things. Additionally, Nuance.dev has helped teach us how to make modifications and created Loom videos so we can manage certain aspects on our own.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for Nuance.dev to improve.
