We have been working with Novus Code and Satyam directly for more than 4 years, in all this time he has proven reliable and knowledgable, jumping on urgent production hiccups right away, listening to feedback and customising both development and pricing. Both Satyam and the developers have also been available for meetings with 3rd party vendors and partners, providing their insight and ensuring they were briefed, consequently all requirements were communicated and met. 

Working with Satyam and NOVUSCODE for over 4 years is proof on its own, so far there has been no issue they were unable to solve and had consistently managed to do away with my stress and anxiety by solving and producing well-managed and solid work that we were able to confidently advertise and offer to our partners as well as customers.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the chief education officer, director, and co-founder of the Research Update Organization. We provide clinical research, training, and hands-on experience to international medical graduates. We teach our residents to research and encourage them to have hands-on projects on the different patients' databases.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with NOVUSCODE?

We needed someone to help us with different web solutions, from domain purchase, website design, website development to content creation and implementation of plug-ins.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started working with NOVUSCODE in 2019 to purchase our website’s domain. After that, they worked on the development of technology and created a sign-up system for the physicians. They’ve also worked on web design and logo banners. Now, they're working for our in-house publication team on a research update journal of medicine, which will be Google-indexed soon. 

After the publication comes out, they will be doing Facebook and LinkedIn marketing and research interpretation videos. NOVUSCODE is the only partner that runs the whole business, integrating with Zoom and with other service providers such as banking.

What is the team composition?

On our website, we have three admins who are actively making changes on the web page. We have two editors that make sure that what we agreed on is what we are getting. There is one web designer who is making sure everything is done in the proper style. We also have two content creators: one works on video content, and the other one on pictorial content writing. There’s another person working on SEO, and six engineers are working on various projects.

How did you come to work with Novuscope?

I got the information from one of my colleagues who’s also working with them. She told me that the people at NOVUSCODE were very helpful and friendly.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent approximately $20,000 up until now. The breakdown is more or less $1,000 a month for all six engineers. For the medical journal, we spent $5,000 on the basic structure which will be ready in the next month probably.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began this project in February 2019, and the partnership is ongoing. They completed the work on the website, the design, and those projects in January 2020. I'm still having the partnership one more year for maintenance, SEO, and marketing. We started working on our journal of medicine three or four months ago.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

At the moment, I don’t have any feedback on the projects they’ve worked on. However, I have no doubt that they have 50 years of working on many different projects. They have the knowledge and experience.

How did Novuscope perform from a project management standpoint?

I talk with their team via Microsoft Teams. If I want to have an appointment with the CEO, then I have it directly on Zoom. They are very good, professional, and friendly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're extremely friendly. They have engineers in California and India, but whatever the time zone, everyone is extremely accessible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Frankly speaking, I don't like Microsoft Teams, but they work 90% on Microsoft Teams. I always tell them that Microsoft Teams doesn't send you a notification whenever there’s an email. When you are a physician, you don't have full access to your computer every time, so when we are emailed we sometimes miss those communications.

They said that we need to keep accounts of the website, the work, and the tasks, and Microsoft Teams has helped them to do those things compared to a typical Zoom meeting. They are right, but, from my point of view, Microsoft Teams is not a good option to work with, especially for a physician because it’s very inconvenient.

Any advice for potential customers?

The time zone is the most important thing when you are dealing with any company. If you are good with the time zone issue, then you don't have to worry about it. However, right now, my time zone is different than the others. I'm likely to be working very early in the morning, and that's okay for me.
