I outsource some web development work to NOORLOGIC.

What was the scope of their involvement?

NOORLOGIC has worked on several projects. I have around 10 clients, and their team is helping me provide services to all of them. I mostly get the design requirements and guidelines — in Photoshop, Adobe XD, or Figma format — from the client and send these over to NOORLOGIC for implementation.

Around half of the websites we do are WordPress websites, but we also develop on Shopware, Shopify, and other platforms. NOORLOGIC usually builds the sites from scratch, developing advanced custom fields, helping with API integrations, and making login modifications. They also create animations in accordance with the designs we give.

While their team takes care of development, I handle project management. I check the team’s work and we fix any issues before pushing the site live or sending it to the client. Ninety percent of the time, I’m the one communicating with my customers. Rafael (Founder & CEO) sometimes gets involved, but my clients are mostly German, so it’s easier for me to talk to them.

We mostly work on one project at a time. We don’t have contracts, but we do settle on how much and how long it will take to complete a project.  At the moment, NOORLOGIC isn’t providing speed optimization and tracking services, but I intend to start using them for those.

What is the team composition?

The number of people working with me varies. During our last project, there were four people, but I was mostly in contact with Rafael and Harut (Team Lead). 

How did you come to work with NOORLOGIC LLC?

I was in Armenia for the holidays to find an outsourcing partner. My cousin told me about NOORLOGIC, so I contacted them. We got together and talked, and I gave them a test project.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of their work is around €20,000 (approximately $22,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with NOORLOGIC around 4–5 years ago. We have an ongoing project at the moment, and I plan to avail of their SEO services.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

NOORLOGIC’s work is good. We sometimes encounter issues with the websites when they’re being viewed on mobile devices, but everything is fine for the most part. Our German clients need everything to be pixel-perfect, but Armenians have a different mentality. NOORLOGIC has adapted well to that, too.

Comparing them to the other outsourcing firms I’m working with, I’d say NOORLOGIC is doing a good job. They go the extra mile when I need to do something faster.

How did NOORLOGIC LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They mostly deliver on time and on budget. My clients are often unrealistic when it comes to the timelines, so we’ve sometimes missed deadlines by one week. That hasn’t been a big problem, though, because my customers don’t really know how long it takes to create websites.

I work with NOORLOGIC on Trello, and we mainly communicate and share screens over Skype and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed by their willingness to work over the weekend whenever I request it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The communication with NOORLOGIC is fine. I don’t think there’s anything that has to be improved on that front. Google is changing really fast, and there are new things that I want to be able to implement in my projects, so I’m guiding them on how I would like to have it done.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s really important to have the project description done perfectly so that there are no problems in the end.

How did you select NOORLOGIC LLC and what were the deciding factors?

Competitive prices and extra good communication were the decisive factors. They listened carefully to all of the requests and delivered exactly what was required.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had multiple meetings regarding the design of the website with them providing multiple options of the design. In the end we have chosen one which was enhanced further and developed using Wordpress. During the whole time Noorlogic was in communication with me, asking clarifying questions as my requirements were usually vague. I was happy how they handled those.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome satisfied my requirements and I was generally happy how the work was done. The deadlines, when set, were met.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

As the project was small we haven't required any serious tools. Any of my concerns were instantly addressed by the product manager in a Slack channel.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their communication was on point, and I have never seen such a responsive company before.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were minor issues with the server installation and setup which were quickly resolved. Probably having a dedicated OPS person would eliminate those minor issues as well.

I'm in charge of business development at a financial organization. We provide financial consulting as well as fund management services.

What challenge were you trying to address with NOORLOGIC LLC?

We hired NOORLOGIC LLC to work on our website project. We wanted to spread the word about our company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

NOORLOGIC LLC was responsible for the development of our website, including its design, UI/UX, icons, and buttons. They developed the site from scratch using WordPress.

They gave us 2–3 website blueprints, and we decided which one to use. They implemented a couple of iterations. We gave them our brand colors, logo, content, and other assets.

What is the team composition?

We worked and communicated with two people from NOORLOGIC LLC.

How did you come to work with NOORLOGIC LLC?

We knew about them through word-of-mouth — an old friend told us that they were developing websites. We spoke with their team and after that, we decided to do the project with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $4,000–$5,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from March–June 2020. We currently have plans to change and add services to our website, and I think we will hire them again for that project in a couple of months.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The most important KPI for us was that they delivered on time, so we didn't have any problems with them. The Central Bank of Armenia requires financial organizations like us to have websites so that we can show the daily movement of our fund performance. That’s why it was crucial that the site be delivered as scheduled, and it was successfully delivered. 

They completed anything we asked them to do. We were really happy to work with them; we didn’t experience any problems.

How did NOORLOGIC LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

NOORLOGIC LLC was excellent in project management, and our main communication was through emails. We had direct access to the project manager, which we liked. Our CEO was very picky with things like buttons, fonts, and other website minutiae, and they delivered on that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took the time to understand the details of the project and how we wanted it to be. They tried to meet our expectations and deliver the site that we wanted. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our project was quite small, so I can’t think of any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should prepare your own content and be ready when they ask for it. They were really good from a timing standpoint; however, my team didn’t meet content deadlines. Also, make sure you invest your time communicating with their team, and then you'll be satisfied with the job they do.
