I’m the founder and CEO of Augbiz Technologies Pvt Ltd, a discovery platform for financial services and a solution provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechNomads?

I was looking for an agency to develop our platform end to end, so I hired TechNomads.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechNomads helped us with design and web development. My team had already designed low-fidelity wireframes, so I handed those over to them. Then, the business analyst from their team brought the required industry knowledge to help us make many changes in the application flow.

After that, TechNomads built our platform’s frontend and backend entirely, and they designed the high-fidelity wireframes. The frontend was developed using React.js, and the backend was built on PHP.

What is the team composition?

I talked directly with TechNomads’ founder, but they had a team of 6–8 people working on the project, including two frontend developers, two backend developers, and two designers.

How did you come to work with TechNomads?

I found them on LinkedIn, and from a price standpoint, they were really good. Five other companies pitched for the project, but the cost that we got from TechNomads was one-third of what the other agencies were offering. TechNomads was on target, and they offered good value for the money.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $20,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2021, and the project was completed in August 2021. We’re currently working on 4–5 other projects, and they’re doing an amazing job for my clients.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It is known in this industry that PHP and React.js don’t go hand in hand, so I first had doubts. However, the team was able to pull the development off very well. They brought high-end technical capabilities to the table and delivered a very good platform.

This platform is now up and running. So far, I haven’t had any issues with it, and the feedback has been excellent.

How did TechNomads perform from a project management standpoint?

TechNomads’ turnaround time for any query was within four hours, which was important. I had the founder’s phone number, so he was available through WhatsApp at any given point in time, no matter if I reached out on weekends or weekdays. He was just one text away, and we would hop on a call.

I also really loved the guidance of the team. As we were a startup, having the founder and the business analyst involved gave us a sense of reassurance. They were engaged and understood the requirements very well, and they were easily accessible on Slack as well.

We had a testing phase for almost a month when we rolled out our platform to business users. As soon as anyone raised any concerns about the platform, TechNomads would fix the issue within three hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project ended around August, but TechNomads has been considerate enough to accommodate any smaller change requests or tweaks without charging extra; that is why I’m going the extra mile to leave them a good review. I’ve also helped them get a few customers, and they haven’t disappointed me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wanted to build my platform on Python, but they didn’t have that skillset in-house yet. However, they have added Python resources since.

I would like them to scale their team quickly so that they can pick up larger and more complex development projects. Thus, I’m currently working with the founder to help him scale his team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Keep your expectations realistic, let them know if there is a gray area for you within the project, and let them recommend something. Be candid about your situation and background so that TechNomads can help you out. If you aren’t sure about your requirements, you won’t find adequate help. However, if your requirements are clear enough, there won’t be any challenges working with this agency.

The appointment management became easy for me. Patient records were easily accessible. With the role management feature, I was able to separate expenses and accounting from the team who were not concerned about the data. Also, it was hosted on my server so the security and privacy of the data at the best.

They achieved all the deadlines given and with the time to time delivery of milestones I could see how my product was built.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their suggestions and feedback about the requirement. They suggested additional features which turned out to be very useful for me on the later stage.

Not that I could find.

Pickvery provides a 24x7 delivery service from one location to another in Surat, Gujarat. You can send any item like a mobile charger. It can be food from one place to another. Pickvery delivers all the items which are less than 5 KG or can be delivered by bike.

My single point of contact for this project was Anandi Sheladiya and I happen to know that there were three other people working on the project. As a backend developer and two mobile app developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They helped us to launch the app successfully and within the first week, we could reach to top 200 apps in our category in the app store.

We scheduled meetings every day and the workflow was simple to achieve the deadline.

I was impressed by the suggestions and involvement they put in to improve our product from the original requirement.

It is a B2C last mile logistics service. We wanted a mobile app for our customers to book vehicles to transport their consignments intra-city, , with features like tracking, paperless deliveries, expense reports and the other such small and big features.

Apart from Mobile App, TechNomads also developed website, Web App, Admin Tool and mini-CRM Software. The goal was to organize a totally unorganized sector of logistics and making it user-friendly, quick, paperless and contact less service.

Online reviews, past work and a series of interviews with Pranav and Anandi, we selected TechNomads.

We asked for Mobile App, Web App, Admin Tool/CRM Software and Website. All elements were discussed in depth. Beta versions were delivered on time and final versions were developed as per expectations. All products were delivered within 6 Months.

Due to Corona, we could not launch the final product. But, beta versions were tested thoroughly and we got desired results.

The founders were easy to talk to, they showed patience and perseverance. A lot of brain storming sessions helped us make the product better. Timelines were devised and met.

Their work definitely, but most importantly their attitude. They never said NO to anything. They got us better mousetraps than what we ordered. A point to note...they answered our calls on Sundays too.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were very comfortable and satisfied with the products delivered.
