Please describe your company and your position there.
Marberry Machine, Inc. is a family owned and operated Contract Manufacturing company serving the Energy, Defense, Mining and Aerospace industries. I have been involved with the company since August 2002, and am currently the General Manager.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Nickel Idealtek Inc?
The size of company would not allow us to have a full time employee overseeing our network, security and other IT requirements. We needed someone we could trust with everything from MRP migration, Server configuration, Cybersecurity planning, hardware and software upgrades, email and webhosting, etc.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Idealtek came highly recommended. After meeting with Idealtek in 2014, and interviewing a few other firms, we decided to partner with Idealtek. Their related experience and knowledge was in line with our needs, but the most important factor that influenced my decision, was their professionalism and long-term outlook. They made it a point to offer the best possible solution within our budget.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
They immediately dug into our configurations at the time. Installed remote access point to allow them to diagnose situations within our network that needed attention including installing a new server, and updating our antivirus and malware selection to provide us better security.
Over the years, Idealtek has aided in migrating to E2 MRP software, Voip Phone System, Selected PC's for CAD/CAM Engineers, Configured laptops and remote access for working from home, repaired PC's, troubleshot software, designed and installed a wireless network in our 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, addressed spam emails and helped us recover our system from a ransom wear attacker.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
In the 7 years since they have been a trusted vendor, I have worked with Nigel (owner), and 3 or 4 technicians. All of which were always prompt, efficient, and effective in solving the problem at hand.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I feel that Idealtek has been a critical part of our uninterrupted business continuity. Thanks to them, our network is accessible, secure, and fast, and the way we do business is more streamlined than ever before.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
There has never been a time where doing business with them was difficult. Communication is always timely, and paperwork is accurate, and their response time leaves no room for improvement.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We greatly appreciate the way that Idealtek finds solutions that fit our budget. They are always looking for us and never try to upsell any situation. I fully trust that when they offer a proposal, it is not only necessary but also feasible.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I can't think of any suggestions.

From managing our Exchange server, Barracuda email firewall, and network firewalls (SonicWall, WatchGuard) to overseeing our virtual infrastructure on VMware with six virtual servers and SQL Server, they’ve expertly handled our entire IT ecosystem.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
They successfully migrated us from an onsite Exchange to Microsoft 365, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime. Nickel Ideal Tek has always been proactive in securing our systems with Trend Micro security software and keeping our network up to date with ISP upgrades and WiFi configuration. They even managed the migration from our in-house PBX system to a VoIP solution, further enhancing our communication capabilities.
