Our engagement with Network Shape involved designing, implementing, and continuously managing our IT infrastructure. Network Shape tailored the IT solutions for our immigration law firm with approximately 10 staff and 2-3 lawyers. They set up and maintained a Windows-based server environment with virtual machines, established secure company-wide acess controls, and migrated our email and collaboration systems to Google Workspace. Additionally, they transitioned our file storage from an on-premises setup to a cloud-based shared drive structure, improving accessibility and organization.

What was the scope of their involvement?
NetworkShape has completed multiple jobs over the years for us, including small and large projects. The large projects have involved full-site wiring and termination. The small projects have involved site assessment, user training, and network appliance upgrades.For the large wiring projects, NetworkShape has pulled network cabling with professional, clean termination (the cleanest punch-downs I’ve ever seen) and labeling, all done to the highest industry standards. Our small projects have included the replacement and upgrading of firewalls, switches, and wireless access points with full-site assessment to ensure the proper efficient placement of the wireless access points.NetworkShape has also been responsible for updating wiring diagrams with clear port labeling. For our recent site expansion project, NetworkShape pulled fiber cables, terminated a department network closet, installed a wireless warehouse management system, and did full diagramming and labeling to meet the needs of our graphics department site move, all within 72 hours.

NetworkShape has set up our site network to be ready and working for our graphics team’s move-in. We’ve confirmed the network is ready and working through speed tests, visual inspection, and team validation and feedback. This is a new site network, and all the equipment has been recommended by NetworkShape to provide a high level of security, speed, and reliability for today and future expansion. We haven’t noticed any issues or challenges with the new network after it was set up; everything has performed as expected.
How did NetworkShape perform from a project management standpoint?
NetworkShape is a highly experienced team. Dan’s (President) assessments have been timely and concise, which has provided us with a clear timeline and budget. Overall, Dan and his team have delivered exactly what we’ve asked for and more. We’ve communicated in person, virtually, and through emails and messaging apps.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve never seen such a clean and professional wiring job. Amazing work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Every project we’ve handed to NetworkShape has been delivered in the same way. Whether they’ve performed an email migration for a purchased company or planned an expansion or move of one of our many divisions to new facilities, Dan and his team have always been professional, communicated clearly, and delivered on time and on budget.
