Just like you, we are interested in building a product that will bring a unique value to its audience and win a competitive edge. We’ll help you achieve this with a discovery (scoping phase), which is a process for collecting and analyzing the project information that helps to clarify the goals, limitations, and overall scope of the project.

Our Story

NERDZ LAB started in Lviv in 2017 as a small mobile development studio. Founders kept asking us for more than code: help with product scope, design, and technical decisions. So we grew into a full product team of 80+ engineers, designers, and AI specialists, with offices in Tallinn and Winchester.

Since then we've launched 250+ products, and our clients have raised $535M. Many of them are still with us years later, because we treat their product as if it were our own.

Meet the Team

What Sets Us Apart

Startup-tested at every stage

Our clients have collectively raised $535M in funding. We've been through seed rounds, Series A pivots, and acquisition due diligence — we know what investors scrutinise and how to build products that pass that test.

Design+ engineering under one roof

No coordination tax between separate agencies. Our designers and engineers work on the same product from day one — which means fewer handoff failures, faster iterations, and a product that actually matches the Figma file.

Efficient use of resources

We help you get maximum value at a fair price, with full control over budget and timeline. From the start, we align on expectations, and you can scale your team up or down as needed for flexibility and efficiency.

Commonly Asked Questions

We can start discovery right after the first call: scoping, feature breakdown, and an estimate. In parallel, we put together a team that matches your stack and domain. If you need a specific expert or have a hard deadline, tell us on the first call and we'll plan around it.

Every project has a dedicated QA engineer from the first sprint, not only before release. We combine manual testing on real devices with automated tests in the CI/CD pipeline, and every feature goes through code review before it reaches QA. Before each release, we run regression testing and share a test report with you.

Most MVPs take from 8 to 14 weeks, depending on the number of features and integrations. The biggest factor is scope: a clear discovery phase usually saves more time than it takes. Products that need regulatory review or extensive user validation can take up to 6 months.

We work across the major model providers and open-source ecosystems: Models: OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Meta Llama, Mistral. Orchestration: LangChain, LlamaIndex. Retrieval: RAG pipelines with Pinecone, Weaviate, and Qdrant as vector stores. Infrastructure: AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI Service. We recommend the right stack based on your data sensitivity, cost targets, and latency requirements — not based on what is currently trending.

Cost depends on scope and complexity. As a guide: AI Proof of Concept (PoC) — $8,000–$15,000 (2–4 weeks): validates your hypothesis with a working prototype before you commit to a full build. AI-powered MVP — $40,000–$120,000 (8–16 weeks): a shippable product with core AI features, ready for real users. AI features added to an existing product — from $30,000, depending on model selection, data preparation, and infrastructure requirements. Ongoing costs include inference (OpenAI / Anthropic API usage or self-hosted model infrastructure), vector database hosting, and monitoring. We provide a fixed-fee estimate after a free 30-minute scoping call. Book a meeting to discuss!
